Chapter 3

       After staying in the bathroom for more than 10 minutes, with more than one person having a confused look on their face thinking "What the hell happened to her?", Vivianne snuck off campus to go home. 

       Well, snuck as in the "alter the thoughts of the lady at the front desk to think that she's getting checked out by her parents" sorta way. Vivianne loved the high she got when she controlled people's minds, but tried not to do it often because of that same exact reason. 



        Ten minutes later, Vivianne found herself pulling up to the brick paved road that led to the gate of her adoptive parents house. She mindlessly went through the motions (punched in the gate code, pulled her car into the garage, went through the front door), as she recalled the day's events. She hadn't met anyone from the abyss since Alex when she was 14, five years ago. 

          Alex. Vivianne almost forgot about him, willed herself to, after-

          A loud noise interrupted her train of thought. Vivianne saw that Missy, the family cat, knocked over a vase that contained a dozen red roses. 

         "Damn it Missy", Vivianne thought to herself. Luckily, her parents would be back in the evening, a good five hours away. She had enough time to clean it up later. So instead of cleaning up the mess, she picked up a broom and swept the pieces of glass to a corner, and threw the flowers away.
