A nalu fanfic: At home, sick

Lucy's POV

God what is he up to. And wheres happy?? He couldn't have just left me alone to rest while I was sick? Well I guess it might be nice having him here to keep me company.. it's always more fun when were together! As we always say.

"I wonder what fire brains doin. " I say out loud while rolling over. I hear a bang and then the door open.

"Luce look! I made you some soup... and some toast." He exclaims while holding out a tray full of food. I wonder Where he got that tray though..huh.

"Oh thank you, but you didn't have to. Plus I'm not very hungr-" my words were stopped by a bite size piece of toast natsu ripped off and shoved in my mouth. "Hey!"

"You have to eat!! It's good see?"

"I told you I'm not very hungry natsu " I gave him a look then he grinned widely

"Well.. then if you don't eat I'll force feed it to you!! MWAHAHAH "

I felt my face heat up and looked down at the spoon Full of chicken soup which I assume natsu made homemade. "U-uh n-No you don't have to do tha- " again my words were stopped by Natsu shoving food into my mouth. Wow this is actually pretty good. Surprised he didn't burn it.

"You don't have to get so embarrassed Luce. I gave you the opportunity to feed yourself and you didn't take it, so Except the consequence! " he said with a slight blush on his cheeks ad Well and a big grin. I always loved him smile .everytime he smiled I had not choice to smile with him. My heart fluttered a little bit then quickly looked away. I was staring at him. That's embarrassing! His smile makes me melt though. I let him continue feeding me soup. He puts one more spoon full into my mouth before I move my head.

"I- I can uh feed myself now .thanks natsu" he looks away and puts the tray down onto my lap.

"Okay, Well when your done with that let me know anything else I can do for you!" He says with a grin . It looked like he wanted to say something else before he walked out of my room but never did.

Natsu POV

Well that was fun.. She's probably gonna kick me out once She's done. I wanted to just hop in bed with her and snuggle up against her shoulder.. I just want her to feel better!! Ah hell.

My thoughts were interrupted when I heard Lucy's loud coughing in the other room. Poor thing. I look through her cabinets and find some cough medicine. I poor it in the cap and start walking back to her room. It's been 15 minutes She's probably done eating now.

"Here Luce take this so you can get better already!" I say as I open the door. Looks like she might have been trying to sleep. She sits up and I hand her the medicine and plop on the new chair she bought. It was bright pink cheeta print .

"Oh, Thank you. You know you don't have to sit over there, you can come sit by me or something." she says before clearing her sleepy voice . As i notice the blush brushed across her cheaks i feel mt cheaks getting hot too. She pats the empty section on her bed as she yawns then stretches her arms. I walk over and sit next to her , legs dangling off the bed. She nudges me and I scoot closer to her. She pulls the blanket up so it's covering both of us. I feel my heart beating faster now and my cheeks heat up. She pat's my head and smiles. God her smile. It's so cute. I can't ever help smoking back. She's just so.. Wait No No No stop . I know She's adorable and all but honestly She's my partner. I can't develop a crush on her. I mean im not. I dont understand all this mushy stuff. Ugh. She yawns and puts her head on my shoulder. My heart flutters. I mean She's put her head on that shoulder a million times and I have pulled her closer out of comfort but this time I feel weird. My face heats up even more as a realise her breathing has slowed. She's asleep. I gently put my arm around her as we slide down the bed a little more .now her head is on mt chest. My heart is gonna jump through my chest. If any of the guild members saw us they'd make all sorts of rumors. I don't usually care or get embarrassed but Lucy always does. She shifts her head to my neck and nuzzles it. I am so glad shes asleep or I am certain she would be able to hear How hard my heart is pounding. I close my eyes and slow my breath. I eventually feel myself drifting off into sleep as Well.
