Chap 2: Sweet like honey

Minho wasn't usually fond of people, except for his friends. When he met Hyunjin, tho, he loved the boy instantly.

Hyunjin was truly an angel on Minho's eyes.

The boy's sweetnes was incredible, everytime Minho talked to him, he felt as if he was eating a spoonful of sugar. 

And damn, he loved it.

Every single chat with the younger was precious to Minho. He loved that boy.

In the other part, Hyunjin was confused. Having so meny people after him because of his looks made him both uncomfortable and confused.

When he met Minho, he didn't think he'd end up with a new group of friends. But he was so grateful.

His new friends were perfect.

Chan, with his dad-like behavior, always looking out for his friends, protecting them and advising them.

Changbin, the funniest guy. Always doing amusing things for te others to laugh. He has such a kind heart.

Han, the most friendly boy he had ever met. His energetic behavior and clingy self were so loveable.

Felix, the lovely freckled boy who had been so nice to him since the start. On Hyunjin's pov, he's soul irradiated warmth.

Seungmin, a cute puppy-like boy that Hyunjin found funny to tease. Despite his savage behavior, he was such a sweetheart.

Jeongin, the youngest of all. He loved all of his friends a lot, and was a baby that needed to be protected on everyone's eyes.

Last but not least, Minho. He was Hyunjin's favourite. And Hyunjin didn't really know why. Scince the first time they met, Hyunjin felt...butterflies on his stomach.

Minho made him feel better everytime, when they only said good morning to each other and when they had deep talks.

On Minho's point of view, Hyunjin was like a candy he couldn't get tired of. The boy's sweetness always made him happy.

But Hyunjin didn't know about Minho's feelings.

And Minho didn't know about Hyunjin's feelings.

Despite this, their friends had noticed the discreet looks they gave each other. And they were definetly not going to stay silent.

"Do you like someone, Jinnie?" Han innocently asked, while caressing Felix's hair, while the younger rested his head on Han's lap.

Hyunjin thought for a moment. Minho immediatly appeared on his mind, and a blush appeared on his cheeks.

"No..." Hyunjin sighed and looked away.

"Ohhh?" Han's eyes lit up "You sure. You've been talking about Minho a lot lately"

Felix giggled softly, and Han kissed his cheek dearly. Hyunjin hid his face on his face on between his hands.

"I don't like Minho!" Hyunjin's voice sounded muffled "Well...maybe I do"

Han and Felix both giggled and squealed at the same time.

"You like my brother?" Felix asked with the biggest smile on his face. "You really do!? You better not break his heart then!"

Felix poked Hyunjin's cheek with every word, and the older's cheeks were gradually turning redder.

"Awh, you're so cute when you blush!" Han grabbed Hyunjin's cheeks on his hands "You should confess soon. Minho is really smitten with you."

"No he's not! Why would he ever love me?" Hyunjin denied any posibility of Minho loving him back. "I'm not enough"

"Oh, come on Jinnie. That's what I thought when I met Lixie, you know? But he's such a sweetheart. The Lee brothers are full of surprises. And I know Minho. He's never looked at someone the way he looks at you." Han explained.

The squirrel-looking boy talked again "He likes sweets, you know? Maybe you should get him a sweet treat, and then confess your love! I bet he'll love that!" 

Hyunjin thought about it. It didn't sound like a bad idea at all. Maybe that was the best he could do.

"Do you guys know what he likes?"

Felix and Han snickered.

"He really likes cookies!" Felix said "He loves red velvet, too! I think a red velved cookie is the best option"

"Maybe you should make them homemade!" Han chimed in "We could help you, if you want!" 

Felix nodded eagerly at his boyfiend's idea.

"Sure, that sounds good." Hyunjin answered "I'll ask him out then..."

"Minho..?" Hyunjin softly called the older's name.

Minho looked up.

"Mhm? What's up, jinnie?" 

Hyunjin handed him a pretty red bag, closed with a bow, and started to fidget with his fingers.

"I wanted to give you this...I heard you like sweet things." Hyunjin smiled softly "These are homemade by me, Han and Lix!"

"Really!! It's a sweet!?" Mynho's eyes were holding a whole universe in that moment "What is it?? What kind of sweet??" He asked eagerly, excited like a puppy.

Hyunjin giggled, amused at the older's cuteness.

"Why don't you open it? I hope you like it!!" He gave Minho a big smile.

The older started to carefully untie the bow. When he alredy had the cookies on his hands, he felt his eyes somehow watery.

"Thank-" He stopped at the sound of his own voice breaking. He was crying.

"Minmin!? Why are you crying!? You don't like it!? I'm sorry, I'll make something else-!" Hyunjin got suddenly interrupted by a tight embrace.

He wrapped his arms around Minho's neck comfortingly.

"What's wrong...? Why are you crying for cookies, Minmin? Is it because they are made by me?" Hyunjin's voice gradually turned lower.

"Of course not, dummy" Minho talked with stiff voice "These are...happy tears...I'm so grateful for this."

Hyunjin felt a weight leave his heart.

"Do you like it, then?" The younger asked happily "I heard red velvet cookies are your favourite sweet!"

"I love red velvet cookies...but they're not my fav" Minho dried his cheeks, as a sly smile curved his lips.

"Hmmm? They aren't? What's your favourite, then?"

"...you" Minho whispered lowly.

Hyunjin made a confused face, wich Minho thought was the cutest thing ever.

"Hmm? I didn't catch that, Minmin, could you-"

"You. You are my favourite sweet, Jinnie, and I have been eager to taste you"

Hyunjin's face couldn't be more red. Minho rested his hand on the younger's leg, gently caressing his thigh.

"So, what do you say...? Can I...finally taste my favourite sweet. I have kind of a sweet tooth, you know?

"You should have asked sooner-"

Hyunjin was cut off by Minho's lips on his. Minho's sooft tender lips felt as if they were meant to kiss him.

Hyunjin soon kissed back, gently caressing Minho's nape as he did so.

And god, it really felt like heaven.
