But how can we let you rest in peace,
When peace has ceased in our lives?
Turmoil and grievance have become our home,
Denying you peaceful sleep. Our continuance crying, denial of life,
Unfolded and raw, a constant strife.
Do you hear our mourning cries?
A sign of love and voidness left inside.Or would you say we’re selfish, holding tight?
Not wanting to let you go, memories,
A constant reminder, you were once amongst us,
A shining light.
How can we forget that and you?Your presence still echoes, a lingering hue,
A bittersweet reminder of what we once knew.
How to let that go?
