AJAX: [A Percy Jackson/Chaos Fanfic]

Chapter 13: Some Complications.

{Delta POV}

It's good to see you too, Silena. It's good to see you too.

Those words rung in my mind. His tone was icy, as if he couldn't even trust me anymore. Well, I can see why he's mad. I was dead, but now I'm alive. Ok, I get it.

"Anyway, I'm MJ, and this is Chase." The girl, MJ, commented. "We're...uh...runaways..?"

So Chase ran away from home. Why? He had everything he needed. What about our Dad? He was probably too busy to notice. Is he happy without us? Should I go visit him? I don't know...

I caught Chase staring at me in disbelief. 'I'm sorry...' I mouthed at him. 'I should've told you I was alive..'

He had looked away. So much for getting his attention.

"How did you get here?" Silver asked.

"We..uh..were chased by monsters." MJ said, sheepishly. "We came from Bordeaux. "

"Ah, I see." Ajax nodded. "By any chance, were any of your parents missing, as in they weren't in your life that much?"

They both nodded. "I never had a father figure in my life." MJ answered, sighing. "And Chase never met his mother before she left him."

Ajax and I immediately looked at each other. 'Demigods.' I saw Ajax mouth. I nodded, stealing a glance from MJ and Chase.

"Wh-what's going on?" MJ asked, looking at us cautiously.

"I'm not sure if you'll understand this, but you two are demigods," Silver explained. "It's the only logical way."

Chase rolled his eyes. "Demigods?" He scoffed, raising an eyebrow. "Like the ones in myths? They don't exist."

"Well, they do." I said. "Why do you think Mom was never around?"

Cue the 'realization that his whole life was kind of a lie and kept secret from him and that's the reason why his big sister was absent' moment dawning on his face

"So...we're demigods." MJ said, slowly. "Demigods. Half God."

"Yes..."

"But they're just in myths."

"Look alive, sunshine." I heard Ajax say. "You're demigods. Therefore, myths exist."

Then came a monster. It looked like a cross between an alligator and a centipede, and had a slick black body complete with a barbed tail. I've never seen one like it ever before..

"RAVENER!" Asteria shouted, and the assassins immediately pulled out their blades. Chase looked startled and dragged MJ behind a dumpster.

I took out my Seraph blade, and pointed it at the demon that was scuttling towards me, thick green slime oozing out of it.

"ITHURIEL!" I shouted, and the blade sprang to life. I threw it at the demon and the blade landed somewhere in its abdomen. It hissed as black ichor streamed out of its wound.

Silver snuck behind the Ravener and stabbed it in the crook of its neck. It collapsed, spazzed, and was finally dead. Silver sighed in relief and was starting to get off of it.

Suddenly, tons of ichor came out of the stab wound. It splashed onto Silver's face, coating at least half of it.

The demon ichor must of contained some sort of acid, because something was happening. Silver screamed as the left side of her face bubbled, and melted away like heated candle wax. What was left was her skull and her eye. Except her eye wasn't like any other eye. It was clouded up.

She was half blind.
