Prologue: The Point of No Return-Part 2

"Dream Island? Headmaster??" Snowball gritted his teeth, "What are you talking about!?"

"Hey, SB, don't do anything crazy..." Pen attempted to de-escalate the situation, but to no avail.

Snowball only got angrier as it ignored him. "Answer me!!" He stomped a foot down loudly, trying to intimidate it.

Mononounncer glanced around for a bit, before it finally landed on Snowball. "Oh, sorry." Its monotone voice insincerely apologized, "You were just so insignificant, I didn't hear you."

That did it.

Instantly, Snowball lunged at the speaker. Pen was no match for his strength, as he failed to prevent the boy from grabbing the robot and lifting it into the air. "Is it still funny!?" He yelled at it.

"Calm down, SB." Mononounncer laughed humorously, "You wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you, would you?"

"Huh?"

Suddenly, the robot began to beep. And his speaker glowed red. And—

Golfball's eyes suddenly went wide. "SNOWBALL, LOOK OUT!" She yelled, and pushed him away.

I don't know who was more surprised. Us, or Snowball, when a spear suddenly went flying out of Mononounncer's speaker. Thanks to Golfball, it missed, and lodged itself in the ground.

Right in front of Woody.

"AHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

Teardrop worriedly held him back so he didn't run. "Woody! Calm down!" She tried to comfort him (a/n: no wooddrop. fuck wooddrop/hj). "The spear isn't even moving anymore, it's okay!"

Woody kept screaming for a while, before he eventually, albeit slowly calmed down. Meanwhile, Tennis Ball walked over and helped Golfball and Snowball up. Immediately, Golfball side stepped in front of him protectively. Blocky grunted in frustration, "What was that for!? You could've fucking killed him!!"

"Well, that's what he gets for violating school regulations." Mononounncer retorted, "After all, if you all are gonna live a communal school life, then you have to learn to respect me."

Blocky immediately tried to shoot back, but Tennis Ball cut him off, "Wait, wait, wait." He said, "School life?' What does that mean?"

"Oh, I was waiting for you to ask!" The speaker box hopped off the podium he was standing on and slid over to us. "Basically, you all are starting a new, communal, happy life here. Forever. For the rest of your lives."

...

...What....?

I felt my blood run cold. Life in here...? Forever...?  "What do you mean..." I muttered quietly, getting a monotone chuckle from Mononounncer.

"I mean that you all will be here forever. You'll be locked in, not allowed to interact with the cruelty that is the outside world. Hell, you should be thanking me!" It explained, "People outside of this school would do nothing but take advantage of your talent! I'm simply preserving your value! Plus, if you lose a friend, it won't matter in the long run!"

"Wait!" Pencil suddenly called, "Did you say, 'lose a friend?"

"Oh, yeah. There is...one way you could escape." The speaker didn't have a face, but I could tell that it would smile if it did,

"If you were to...kill one of your friends, and get away with it, then I'd let you go back to that pitiful world outside."

Silence. What could we have said?

"...Kill...someone...?" Coiny finally stuttered out after a moment.

"W-We can't do that!" Pin protested. Firey nodded in agreement, clearly too shocked, or scared, to speak.
