"This tastes amazing!!!" I shout, tears threatening to leak out of my eyes as I dig into the bowl of food in my hands. "I've never had food this good! Mrs. Briefs, your culinary skills are bar none in the galaxy!"
"Oh that's sweet of you, but I'm not that extraordinary of a chef." The blonde replied, her arms holding a couple of empty bowls from all the meals I've downed.
"Slurp, Ah! Can I have another!?" I ask, lifting the empty bowl in my hand up much to the bafflement of Bulma.
"My God, you down food nearly as much as Goku! Are all Saiyans like this!?" Bulma questions as her mother takes the bowl in my hand and hands me a plate of the weird cylinders they call sushi. I take a handful of the sushi and toss them into my mouth before answering Bulma.
"Mmm, I guess. Whenever me and the others would complete a mission we'd have a big feast after!" I gulped the seafood delicacy before taking another bunch and looking toward the Bluenette. "Problem is none of us knew how to cook, which meant it was usually just charred meat over a fire."
"Yeah I imagine that would get boring eventually." Bulma replied, still staring incredulously at me, as I devoured the food in front of me. After chewing I take a huge swig of juice to wash it down.
"Ah, this tastes similar to Plipclip juice, what did you say this was called?" I asked, placing the cup down and looking to Mrs. Briefs.
"Orange Juice."
"Oh, kinda a bland name. What fruit is it from then, Plipper Berries?"
"Oranges." Mrs. Briefs says, as I deadpanned at the response.
"Well that's just lazy." I scoot the chair I was on out and stand up. "I think I'm well and full now! Although I will be taking advantage of eating all of Earth's delicacies before we leave in a week. I probably won't be able to once we're done."
"And why's that? Unless you lied about not blowing up the planet, Earth should still be here once we've used the Dragon balls on Namek." Bulma says, suspiciously staring down at me while Mrs.Briefs begins cleaning up the table.
"Oh come on, I already promised to do all I can! Besides, I'm sure that if Gohani and Kakarot aid us against Frieza then Father will be lenient." I replied.
"And what if he isn't?" Bulma questioned, skepticism lacing her voice. "He didn't seem like the most reasonable person."
"Umm, well..." I struggled to find a response. The idea of defying my father felt unfathomable. He could be rough around the edges, but he had always been good to me, hadn't he? He was there for every mission I undertook, ensuring I trained daily to become stronger. I was already more powerful than Nappa and Raditz-I was his pride. He trusted me to return after the Earth mission was complete. Sure, I had attacked him in a frenzy when I transformed into my Ozaru form, but I figured having two extra Saiyans on his side would make a difference, right? "Frieza won't stand a chance."
"What? Frieza?" Bulma's voice snapped me back to reality.
"Did I say that last part out loud?" I asked, feeling a bit sheepish.
"Yeah, you did. Now that you mention him, who exactly is this Frieza? You've mentioned his name twice, and Gohani said he's part of the reason you're helping us."
I thought for a moment before speaking. "Frieza is the self-proclaimed emperor of the universe, a tyrant who has his army conquer planets for him and then sell them to the highest bidder. He's a malevolent ruler and he's very powerful, he makes me and the remaining Saiyans look like insects trying to fight against a volcano. Father believes that Frieza was the true reason Planet Vegeta, the Saiyans home planet, was destroyed."
