I laid my head at my desk still thinking about his words from earlier. Who even taught him to talk like that? He's so good at confusing people with his words!

Nothing happened that much after that. He just took a bath at my condo, changed his clothes in my room while I was eating my pancakes in the kitchen, then he came out wearing his uniform and id. His hair was also neatly pushed back, so he might have used some of my hair gel on my table. How does he even look that good?

When we both finished our coffee, we both left the condo and went to his car. Even the drive to school was silent. When we arrived, he simply said goodbye, saying he'll study at the library since his subject does not start within 2 hours. He didn't have to go to school early just for me, but I never really understood the reason behind his actions, so I just let him be.

"He's so annoying!" I muttered under my breath. It was lunch break, and I was lying my head at the table in our school cafeteria.

"Problema mo?" I looked up to see Kaneshiro, holding a silver tray of food with her bag on her left shoulder. She immediately pulled the seat in front of me, placing the tray on the table and her bag on the chair beside me, since the table has four chairs.
(Trans: What's your problem?)

"Wala," I simply avoided her question, fixing my sitting position before grabbing the coffee she bought for me from the silver tray.
(Trans: Nothing)

"Aren't you going to eat anything?" she asked before taking her cinnamon roll from the tray.

"Wala akong gana kumain," I simply said.
(Trans: I'm not in the mood to eat)

"Pagalitan ka ng bf mo," natatawa niyang sagot. "Best friend."
(Trans: Your bf will get mad at you)

"Annoying naman e!" I crumpled a tissue and threw it in her direction, to which she only laughed.
(Trans: You're so annoying!)

"Alam mo, kayong dalawa ang annoying! Bakit ba kasi hindi na lang kayo maging clear sa isa't isa? Palabuan ang ganap niyo," She complained, shaking her head before taking a bite from her cinnamon roll.
(trans: You know who's really annoying? Both of you! Why can't you just be clear with each other? You are both confusing me)

"Clear with what?" I scoffed, leaning my chin to my left arm before looking right, avoiding her gaze. "There's nothing to be clear about."

"Yeah right. Here's the thing, Serene." Kaneshiro pushed her empty plate aside before leaning towards me. "You should be more honest with yourself. We both know you see that guy more than 'just a friend'." She grabbed her cup of coffee, taking a small sip. "If both of you keep playing at this pace, parehas kayo hindi upfront sa isa't isa, walang mangyayari. Both of you are playing a losing game, neither of you are winning. Both of you are just going back and forth."
(Trans: If both of you keep playing at this pace, both of you not being upfront with each other, nothing will happen)

I rolled my eyes, taking another sip at my drink. "You know I hate losing. I won't take the initiative."

"At this rate, you'll end up losing him." She shook her head, while I frowned at her statement. "Bahala ka girl. Malaki ka na, you can handle yourself. Just don't come crying at me in the end if you lose him to someone else."
(Trans: Do what you want. you're a grown up already)

"As if," I merely scoffed, ignoring how her words stung deep inside.
