Omniscient @ Lawson's Residence:
Jessica rocked her sleeping newborn gently in her arms. It was around 12pm and the house was quiet. Hakeem is at work. Their 3 year old Son is sleeping and their newborn daughter is just now falling asleep.
Jessica laid the baby in her crib and turned on the baby's monitor. She crept out the room and partially closed the room door behind her. She'd been running around with the kids all day and was honestly tired.
Not having Hakeem around much since he's been overworking, all of it was becoming a bit overwhelming. Jessica is trying to be understanding and take into account that his career keeps him busy. He no longer has time to be romantic or be a helping hand with the kids. Now everything is work, work, work.
As Jessica made her way downstairs the door bell rang. She pulled the strings on her silk robe tightly and made her way to the door. She wasn't expecting company so she was confused as to who this can be.
Opening the door she came face to face with a big bouquet of flowers and a wide smiling man. Hakeem hasn't sent her flowers in years so to see this no made her heart warm.
"Jessica Lawson? I have a delivery for you"
She smiled taking the big bunch of roses that were a mix of red and pink. She let the sweet scent of the flowers fill her nostrils.
"Can you sign here" Jessica sat the flowers down and signed the clipboard.
"Thank you" she smiled at the driver who welcomed her and walked away. She turned back to the roses and decided to call her husband to thank him.
Putting her phone to her ear, it rang a few times before his baritone voice came thru the speaker.
"Hey baby. Im about to meet with chief everything okay?"
"Hey Honey. I just wanted to thank you for the roses. You know how much I love red and pink"
Lawson furrowed up his eyebrows on the other end of the phone.
"Baby I didn't send you any roses"
Jessica paused. She couldn't help but wonder did she accidentally take someone's roses. She felt terrible.
"Does it have a card or anything?" Lawson asked. Panic began to set in.
Jessica didn't see a card attached. She did see the details of the company and decided to give them a call and figure out who sent the roses.
"No card. I will call the business and see if they can tell me. I will call you back" Jessica hung up and quickly dialed the number to the flower shop.
She was disappointed that the flowers didn't come from her husband but she was now more concerned on getting it to its rightful owner.
"Good afternoon thank you for calling Pink Clover's flower shop. How can I help you?"
"Hey. I just received a flower delivery and Im not sure who it's from. My apologies I thought it was from my husband so I accepted them and signed for them"
"Okay that's fine we can have the driver come pick them back up. Can I have your name"
"Jessica Lawson. Are you able to tell me who sent them?"
"It says it is from... D. It doesn't say anything past the letter D. Maybe D sent the flowers to you."
"Oh no. I don't know a person name D"
"Okay Mrs. Lawson. I can reach out to the sender and double check if it was meant for you or I can have the driver come pick it up as a refusal."
