Fred's Pov

"Can you believe it, George? Malfoy asked Y/n out! It's like something out of a joke!" I said, pacing excitedly in the middle of the common room.

"We have to do something about this."

George rolled his eyes. " Fred! Not 'we should,' you must! You love her and you need to protect her," he replied, getting serious.

"You're absolutely right," I agreed. "But what should i do? I can't let Malfoy get away with this! We need to come up with a plan right away!"

George nodded thoughtfully. "Okay, but you need to be clever about it. Everything we do against Malfoy has to be carefully considered," he said.

"Alright, I'm brainstorming! I'm going to fight to protect Y/N!" I declared, determination in my voice. I wouldn't let this situation slip away.

Back to Y/n's Pov

As I sat in the common room, I couldn't shake the feeling of unease. Fred and George were in the corner, whispering and casting glances my way. I could only imagine what they were plotting.

Just then, Hermione walked over, sensing my distraction. "Y/N, are you okay? You seem a bit out of it," she asked, concern in her eyes.

I sighed, "It's just... Malfoy asked me out, and I really don't know what to think about it. It's all so unexpected."Hermione raised an eyebrow. "What do you feel about him? I mean, aside from the obvious history."I bit my lip, trying to gather my thoughts. "Honestly, I'm not sure. Part of me is curious, but another part is warning me to stay away. It's complicated."

She nodded, understanding. "You should follow your heart, but also be careful. Remember who he is."As I glanced back at Fred and George, I could see Fred's worried expression. "I appreciate their concern," I thought, "but maybe I should figure this out on my own."

"Thanks, Hermione. I just need some time to think," I said, hoping to find clarity soon.

I guess a meeting wouldn't hurt, I thought to myself, I immediately wrote a letter to Draco, I couldn't go out right now.

"Dear Draco,

I've been thinking a lot about your invitation, and I must say, it has me smiling more than I expected.

It's a bit surprising, isn't it? You and I have always been on opposite sides, but maybe there's something exciting about that. I can't help but wonder what it would be like to spend time with you outside of all the chaos at Hogwarts.

So yes, I would love to go out with you this Saturday. I think it could be a wonderful opportunity to see a different side of each other—one that isn't shaped by our houses. Who knows? We might even discover that we have more in common than we think.

Looking forward to what promises to be a memorable evening!"

Can't wait,
Y/n Y/s

I wrote the letter, placed it in an envelope, and started looking for someone to send it. Then I remembered the owl Fred mentioned—Errol. I quickly went over to Percy, who was sitting on the couch.

"Percy, can I use Errol to send a letter?" I asked.

"Of course, Y/n! You don't even have to ask," he replied with a smile.

I handed the letter to Errol, saying, "To Draco Malfoy." Just then, George called out, "Why are you sending a letter to Draco?"

"Um, because I want to," I replied, feeling a bit defensive. Fred rolled his eyes in an exaggerated manner, clearly annoyed.
