Alex POV:

– You gotta be kidding me. – I'm not even aware of when those words come out of my mouth.

– Are you okay? – asks something surprised at my reaction.

How am I supposed to explain that my ex and biggest fan of him works here and with the bad luck that i have, I'm sure he'll attend us? I have enough of dealing with one idiot for today, I don't want another.

Did I behave so badly in my past life? Is it because I got the last milk brik the other day at the supermarket instead of giving it to that lady?

– It's nothing, it's just...–before I can answer I'm interrupted by a gentle knock on the window.

– Alex, is that you? – What I was telling you, this was work of the other day lady. – Long time no see.

– Do you know him? – ask curious now Kenan.

– Unfortunately. – I reluctantly answer.

– If you want, we can go.

– I don't want to change your plans.

– I don't care. – my face must have been a poem by its reaction.

– Do you have to do a lot of good deeds or something today? No, I know. Are you sick? – I ask with a certain tone of mockery.

– The one that's pale is you, not me.

– I'm fine. – i answer on the defensive.

– Aren't you going to tell him anything? – ask curious.

And it's just that while the two of us were having this absurd conversation, Matteo was still on the other side of the door waiting for some kind of response from me. But what was I supposed to tell him? "Are you still with the girl I caught you cheating on me with, or are you with someone else?"

– I have nothing to talk to him about. – our conversation is interrupted again by a second hit on the glass, so I don't know where I get the courage to go down the window and talk to him, that's the most  nice I can. – Can't you see we're talking?

– Is that Kenan? – excited question.

– No, it's his twin brother. – I answer with irony. – Anything else? We're in a bit of a hurry.

– Can I take a picture with him? – ask nicely.

And he will have the hardface to ask for a picture.
