A Cold Encounter

Rize and Anna were waiting at the entrance of a tunnel into the arena waiting to be called to enter the arena. They hear people cheering out there.

 "Here, we go if we beat him we are in the semi-finals," said Rize.

 "I feel this is going to be a tough one," said Anna.

 "Yeah me too, But as long as we have each other's backs we are unbeatable," said Rize.

 "Right," said Anna.

 Rize goes in with his right hand for a fist bump which Anna fist bumps back with her left and they head out to the arena.

 They step forward as they hear the Announcer.

 "Here we go folks our first finalist to enter the arena is a local who just came back from overseas and a new upstart, Rize Alistair, and his Esper, Anna Excalibur!"

 They would go stand in a red circle where they had to wait for the match to start.

 "And now for their opponents, they come from Snowfall. He is the crown prince of Snowfall, Lizius Snowfield, and his Esper, Shiva Frostmore."

 They watched as Lizius walked out now wearing a white cape with a DHO symbol on the back which was blue. They also see his Esper. She was a young girl around Anna's age. She had white colored hair, light-colored skin with light blue eyes. She wore a white dress with fur that came from the neck to the bottom. Lizius stood across Rize in the blue circle.

 "So, I hope you are ready to defeat Alistair," said Lizius.

 "In your dreams prince. I came to win," said Rize.

 "Alright, start!" yelled the Announcer.

 Anna transforms into her weapon form. Shiva transformed into her weapon form which she became a rapier. She had a long slim blade that was transparent blue with a silver handle. Rize would make the first move by going in for a slash. But Rize steps on ice on the ground which Lizius made which makes Rize slip on his face. The crowd laughs at this a bit.

 "I guess you're a clown," said Lizius.

 He watches as Rize flips off the ground and stabs Excalibur on the ground and he stands on the hilt which surprised Lizius.

 "So, you can control ice," said Rize.

 "He a strange one," thinks Lizius.

 Rize jumps back to the ground which is covered in ice and he grabs Excalibur and gets ready to attack. Rize instead of running started skating on the ice and goes for a swing of his blade. Lizius creates ice on Frostmore's blade to make it into a broadsword and clashes with Rize. But Lizius felt Rize's strength and slid back a few feet on the ice.

 "I see you tougher than you look," said Lizius.

 "This is nothing," said Rize.

 Rize skates over to Lizius to give him another slash but Lizius dodges this by sliding to the side. He would grab Rize's right arm and he freezes it inside a huge block of ice which trapped Excalibur inside it. He places his blade at Rize's neck.

 "Now, surrender. You have lost," said Lizius.

 But he would be shocked as he saw Rize begin to laugh at that.

 "You think this could be me, think again," said Rize with a smile.

 The Ice holding his arm starts to crack apart and in a few moments, he was free from the ice. He kicked the blade with his left leg and went in for a slash with Excalibur. Lizius would get hit which would be the first strike for the match and the crowd seemed to be impressed.

 "I guess, he is tougher than expected. I guess it's time to go into the offensive," thinks Lizius.

 Lizius goes in and starts to attack Rize which Rize blocks and parries and attacks back when he has an open. These exchanges keep happening until they come back to stand standstill. Rize was starting to enjoy this match as has not smiled and Lizius seemed to be smirking a bit.

 "I have to admit Alistair. I underestimated you," said Lizius.

 "You not bad yourself prince," said Rize.

 "But I think it's time for me to end this fight," said Lizius.

 Lizius starts to create a huge ice creature that looks like a giant knight made of ice.

 "What the hell?" questioned Rize.

 "This is my ice giant or I call him Sir Frostalot," said Lizius. 

 The Ice Knight goes in with a giant ice sword and swings at Rize. Rize blocks it with his sword but gets thrown by the force of hit into the wall. Rize falls to the ground and gets back up and grabs Excalibur.

 "I will say this again. Surrender," said Lizius.

 "Sorry, but we will not give up. We are going to win this fight," said Rize.

 Everyone started to notice that Excalibur started to glow and began to change as Anna and Rize shared to resolve and that was to win. The crowd was in shock at this.

 "It a rare to see an Esper Evolution," said Lizius. "Some Esper's never go through this."
