[Just to clear things up, Stiles and the other ladies are all eighteen. That way Wattpad doesn't go crazy with the regulations and all that stuff]

Stiles groans as he slowly opens his eyes and finds himself laying on the ground as he looks around seeing that he was in a cell of sorts; the memories of before come back to him instantaneously as he recalls seeing two people in his apartment before he ultimately passed out and woke up here alas out of the corner of his eye, Stiles couldn't help but notice a golden ring on his finger

He didn't remember ever wearing one as he holds his hand up seeing the colorful gems light up briefly as he lowers his hand back down; the cell was able out of some unknown material but the front was made out of glass perhaps something sturdy to keep him from breaking out as the sound of door opening catches his attention, a raven haired girl with light blue eyes walks in and even Stiles had to admit that she was stunning

?:O-Oh. You're awake? Um, hi..?

Stiles gives an awkward wave at the raven haired girl as she gives one back to him, there was a just a brief moment of awkward silence before the raven haired girl rubbed her shoulder and spoke up

?:I, uh, we weren't expecting for you to wake up so soon. Sorry about the cell, they told us to keep you there until they arrived. We tried to tell them---

Alas Stiles cut the raven haired girl off wanting to know more about his current whereabouts as he asked her exactly that hoping to get an answer that would help clear things up for him

"Where exactly am I? 'Cause I don't remember coming here willingly.."

The raven haired girl opened her mouth to say something but she stopped and closed her mouth as she began to talk to herself and started to pace back and forth, contemplating whether if she should tell him the truth despite the clear orders they were given although she always was a rebel

?:Right. I'm probably going to get in trouble but screw it. You're in a base hidden inside of Queens, the ring on your finger is a pretty big deal..

Stiles looked down at the golden ring on his finger and then back at the raven haired as he tilted his head and remained unaware that the center gem glowed as he could actually hear what she was thinking and just listened

?:[Was that too much? No. Well congrats! He knows that he's a top secret base, Kate! Way to go above and beyond as usual!]

Kate stops pacing as she sees that Stiles is just staring at her, she smiles momentarily and crosses her arms and looks away from him as a rather surprising thought comes to her mind being completely unaware that Stiles could read her mind

Kate:[He is still looking at me. Well, not that I mind. He's good looking, maybe I should ask him if---]

The door opens again as Morgan is the one who walks in with a tablet in her hand as she quickly grabs Kate by her arms and drags her out as fast as possible, the center gem dims down as Stiles can only see the both of them talking as Morgan flips the tablet around showing Kate as her eyes widen seeing what was on the screen before turning to look at Stiles and then back at Morgan

Morgan:Just keep your distance until they get here, try to not to get distracted..

The genius says as she gestures for Kate to head back into the room as the door closes by itself as the raven haired girl keeps her distance by standing all the way back but enough to still hear Stiles in case he says anything

Kate:Hey, so you wouldn't have happened to maybe--accidentally read my mind, right?

Stiles nervously scratches the back of his neck as Kate's face turns red and despite her best efforts to try and hide it; she is unable to stop herself hence her initial reaction when she found out that Stiles was reading her mind without even realizing it

"I didn't mean to do it on purpose. I just wanted to know what you were thinking and then..it just happened"

He says as he looks down once again at the golden ring on his finger with all of these colorful gems on it; Stiles didn't know that a ring like this could grant him that kind of power as Kate could see that Stiles wasn't lying to her mainly because she was a good judge of character aswell

Kate:Well compared to what's happened to the rest of the universe, I think this is an adjustment

Now this immediately got Stiles full on attention as he took a step closer and asked Kate what she meant by that only not to relieve an answer; Stiles pressed his hand against the glass as he focused on wanting for it disappear as the ring glowed red as the glass just vanished into thin air, Kate's eyes widen seeing this as Stiles hesitantly walked out of his cell

He put his hands up showing that he had absolutely zero intention on hurting her and slowly approached her; Kate gripped the sides of her shoulders tightly as Stiles was now standing in front of her as she looked up at his hazel eyes that reflected the small bit of light as he gently put his hands on the sides of her arms

"Please I need to know what you meant by that. If what your saying is actually true then what's happened to the rest of the universe?"

Kate could hear the concern in his voice as she looked down at the ground trying to avoid his gaze only for Stiles to gently raise her chin up so that she could look at him; he could see the pain hidden behind her eyes meaning whatever happened held a great impact on her life and just as Kate braced herself to tell Stiles the truth, they both hear the door slowly open as time around them slows down as Stiles returns back to his cell as the glass reappears

He takes note that the glass disappearing was only temporary as time returns back to normal as Kate feels his touch leave her and spots Stiles back in his cell which did ultimately confuse because if he wanted then he could've just left but instead he returned; Stiles' eyes widen seeing who it was walking into the room as the first avenger makes his presence known

Steve:Thank you for watching over him, Kate. I'll take it from here...

Kate glances at Stiles and nods her head as she walks out of the room and closes the door behind her; Stiles knew who Captain America because apparently his grandfather served alongside the super soldier and lived to tell the tale to his father and those stories were passed down unto him as Steve walks up to the cell and presses his hand against the panel

A faint beep goes off as the glass slides to the left as Steve moves to his left and gestures for Stiles to step out; the eighteen year old questions why the super soldier was doing this as he stepped out of his cell once again as Steve answers the obvious question

Steve:I recognized your last name. That and I saw the live feed from your cell before I walked in, you could've just left and never looked back but you didn't..

Stiles turns and spots the small camera in the left corner of his cell and mentally curses at himself for not having stopped it sooner as Steve continues to explain himself

Steve:What you have on your finger did something that we can't reverse. You want to know the truth? Then you'll have it, Stiles...

Stiles had a very bad feeling that knowing the truth that he so desperately wanted to know was going to have more of an impact than he initially thought as Steve starts from the beginning as all Stiles can do is listen intently
