"Alright.. coffee and sunlight!" Jenna sang in her light purple kitchen, flinging open the double door type windows above the sink. She painted the room herself to make the room softer and seem bigger, plus the color was adorable. "Much better... and camera battery charged? Yep! Bag ready to go? Yep!" She said checking off her chalkboard checklist she made so she couldn't forget anything like she was really good at doing. "Alright.. Nala? You want breakfast?" Jenna asked her white Malamute puppy. Nala hopped around on the dark brown couch in the living room, excited for food an excited to go for a car ride again. Jenna took Nala everywhere she went, she had no one to check on her or watch her during the day, but Jenna didn't mind taking Nala with her. She loved having a fluffy friend to keep her company all day. Nala usually just followed her around while she worked and never left her side, giving Jenna no reason to worry about her taking off. "Nala, I think we'll do the yellow leash today, what do you think?" She asked her little puppy, happy for anything, not caring what color leash she had as long as she got to go. "Yeah that's what I thought," She laughed, "the yellow will do just fine. Alright, lets get going then, can't keep 'em waiting can we?" Nala trotted her way to the front door and sat patiently for her leash, letting Jenna clip her up and lead her out to the car. Jenna opened the passenger door and let Nala hop in first, climbing into her seat as well and turning the key. Jenna had bought a white 2020 Chevy Traverse and had the color changed to a light blue, which she felt suited her personality. In the midst of giving Nala a little doggy treat, her phone rang the original music it had come with for a phone call. "Hello?" She greeted. "Yes, I'm on my way, I just left the house. I'll meet you at the lake, in ten.. yeah.. yeah, okay I'll see you in a few." Jenna slid her phone under her right thigh and turned up the radio, dancing slightly and casually looking around the area as she drove. The weather was nice that evening, no wind, no clouds, and the sun gave off just enough heat to keep the temperature at an even seventy degrees. Perfect weather to get some gorgeous shots of the lovely couple she met at the grocery store. She'd seen them in the same isle as her and noticed how sweet and silly they were with each other. Thinking back to how they'd been in the store, it made Jenna smile.
"I can't believe I got so lucky.." The women had said, her eyes locked into the man's eyes, both of them lost in the moment. " I've never found anyone so sweet and thoughtful as you though, everything that I do is for you honey, and I can't wait to make memories together." The man had been holding the women's face in his hands when he'd told her this, she being so entranced that Jenna wished she had been in a session just for that moment. Jenna didn't want to interrupt them so she waited for a minute to see what they did next, which was thankfully a kiss and the change into what they wanted to do for their date night dinner. That was Jenna's cue to introduce herself and tell them she would love do photos for them if they were interested. This normally worked for trying to make connections and long term customers. She made friends with random families and couples and in return they'd have her number for photos whenever events came up.
Ten minutes had gone by pretty quickly and Jenna was excited get to Rolater Lake and meet with Ava and Colten. Jenna had been planning out the poses she was going to set them up in by taking a walk around the area and scoping out the best places to stop. "Hi!" Jenna avidly called out the driver door window, waving at Ava in the car next to her, Colton smiling quietly and adding a quick small wave. "Hey! How's your morning been?" Ava asked smiling and jumping out of the car, "Awww, who's this sweet baby?" She fluffed Nala's ears and kissed her head. "This is Nala, she always come along with me when I'm working." Jenna relied with a bright smile and watched the two of them. "She's gorgeous! I'm glad you brought her along. Where do you want to start by the way?" Nala followed Ava out toward the lake, leading the way, Jenna and Colton following. "Well, there's a super cute brick bridge over here I'd like to start with, and then we'll make our way around the lake as we go." Jenna pointed over towards where the bridge was settled and started pulling out her camera. "Here, Nala!" Jenna called, having her little fluffy friend lay down in the grassy area and connected her leash to a bench. "Okay, so let's start with something easy, I need both of you to go over to the left side of the bridge and lean over the side.. yeah perfect, now both of you look down into the water and look for something you find interesting and keep that pose... good! Now look at each other for me, think of your favorite memory and look into each others eyes.. awesome! That's gorgeous! Alright let's switch it up a little, Colton can you help Ava to sit on the side right here?" Jenna proposed the move and gestured to where Ava should sit and moved Colton closer to Ava. She adjusted Ava's legs to a crossed position and angled her slightly towards where Jenna had planned on standing. "Colton, come and stand here next to Ava and wrap your right arm around her waist. Good, now rest your other hand on her knee. Now the easy part, smile at each other!" Jenna laughed a little and took a couple shots from different positions. She took some from a distance and some closer their faces to capture their happy and sweet faces. Jenna thought about how easy it was to photograph them and how great they would turn out. They worked their way around the lake, eventually getting to the end where they parted ways and thanked Jenna for taking their photos for them. She had another set of clients in an hour and thought she might call Jamison while she headed to her next stop. "Hi! I just finished with the cutest couple, I think their photos are going to turn out great! Anyways, how are you?" "Hey! I'm great, just finished a class actually and then I have a class on some new chemicals here in an hour and a half. It's day one and I already miss you though." Jamison sounded upset, and Jenna felt the same. "I know, I was thinking about what you were doing the whole time I was at the lake. When do you come back again?" Jenna inquired knowing it was a long time but hoping he'd have better news. Jamison took little time to reply. "I still have until Friday, but time will fly by quickly if we stay busy. At least for me it will during the day with all these classes. Later in the night I'll definitely be bored and missing you even more though." "Oh.. that's quite a while still.. well maybe I'll have to schedule more sessions than usual and keep myself even more busy... maybe not.." Jenna laughed a little at the thought of trying to fit more people in a day and stressed herself out. "Actually.. I probably won't.." She laughed again, "well I know you need your sleep, and as much as I'd like to stay on the phone and talk to you all night, I should let you go and rest up for tomorrow, but please call me whenever you can and I'll do the same!" Jenna became more excited remembering that she'd still hear from Jamison all week. "That's a good idea, good night beautiful, I'll call message you in the morning, okay? I won't get up until the last thirty minutes before I have to head out the door so I won't have time to call you. I want to sleep as much as I can before I have to go to more meetings." Jamison sounded unenthusiastic about sitting in a room while someone talks forever. She didn't blame him. "Goodnight hun."
