Dhruv's POV
I flinched slightly when the phone rang. And as I looked at the caller ID my heartbeats raced like roller coaster. With shivering hands I tried to answer the call but my sweating palms couldn't helped much.
I took a deep breath and wiped my hands. Answering the call I attached the phone to my ear.
" H-hello ? " I tried my best not to shutter.
" Cancel the meeting with Oberoi corporations. " I heard her melodies yet bold voice. But soon frowned as i comprehend her words.
" But ma'am the deal is already signed what about that ? " I asked.
" We have to attend a funeral and I want you in my cabin in next 15 minutes. "
And before I could say anything further she hung up. Sighing, I dialed a number.
" Yes Mr. Saxena ? " Mr. Verma said as soon he answered the call.
" Do you know why the meeting with Oberoi corporations is cancelled ? They were about to sign the contract. " I said.
" Um...their chairman passed away this morning and they are asking to postpone the meeting for some days. " He said.
" Oh okay. " I replied getting out from the lift. He also hung up after humming at my words.
A funeral ?
I was paired in a pitch black shirt and dark grey pants which looked quite decent for a funeral. Shrugging all the thoughts I walked towards the road.
Taking a cab I asked the driver to drop me at Malhotra & group of companies.
*************
Getting out from the cab I paid the driver. I roamed my eyes around and spotted her coming outside from the buildings and I noticed a woman walking beside her while saying something. Mr. Verma was walking behind them with slow steps.
I looked at her. She was paired sassily in a black sleeveless jumpsuit and open straight hairs, slightly bouncing with the moment of her steps.

She walked near me and I wished her good morning to which she did a curt nod. Another 5 minutes passed in silence and we all kept standing there.
