Aakriti's POV

I unlocked the door of my penthouse and entered in.

" Mishti ? "

I called her name. But getting no response I thought she isn't back yet.
She told me that she is going to meet someone to discuss something related to her company.

As she's starting a branch of her company here we had already decided that we're going together to see the land.

Removing my heels I landed myself on the couch in the living room. My eyes landed on my wounded elbow with a bandaid on it.

Not gonna lie but I did feel bad for him. I am sure he must be wounded. The wooden block was looking heavy and I saw the way he was controlling himself to not show the pain on his face.

I then looked at his handkerchief tied around my palm. Slightly covered in blood. I felt so tired to remove it.

How the fvck I'm getting tired without doing anything these days ?

I felt so empty. I don't know why but I was feeling like I'm getting hollow from inside.

And somewhere it's true. I had nothing in me. No feeling no emotions. I don't feel anything else than emptiness.

This isn't me.

This isn't how was I before. But lol !! I was even worst in past.

What a pathetic life I'm living. Just wake up, get ready, go to the office and work, Get back to home and eat then sleep and repeat.

This isn't how I was supposed live my life. It feels like I'm just counting on the days. just watching the day passing and doing nothing else still getting tired as heck.

My thoughts got disturbed when I heard my phone ringing. I sighed looking at the call ID.

" Yes nani " I said.

" Nothing just reminding you that you have a house to come. Don't get stucked in that penthouse. " I rolled my eyes her statement.

" I'm not alone here " I said.

" That I know. But tell me once thing. "
She said and I hummed.

" Why you had buyed this much big mansion when you had to stay in that penthouse only ? "

" For you guys. So that you can live comfortably there. " I said.

" We'll be more comfortable if my granddaughter had some time apart from her work to spend with us. " She said referring to me.

I couldn't answer her question cause I didn't had any answer.

" Nani kaam bahot badh gaya hai. Saare naye clients ko deal jald se jald final karni hai. "
