– Well, it's decided, tomorrow is the wedding, – said the King.
– Yes, I think it's the perfect day for our children to get married, and the date is very nice: 19.09.1955, – replied Brand.
– Show our guests to their rooms, and Damon, give Divia a tour of the castle. You can get to know each other better that way, – said the King.

My father and mother went to their rooms, while Damon and I headed to the castle's back yard. There was a garden, and we walked through it.

– So, Divia Lance, as I understand it, you're the only daughter of Leina and Brand, – said Damon.
Is he laughing at me?
– You can call me Devi; we'll be husband and wife soon, so no need for formalities, – I huffed.
– Alright, alright.

– And you, Damon Blackwood, right? Haha, the son of the king, a very important person, the Prince of Tenebris. Should I call you Your Highness? – I said in a cheeky tone.
– It wouldn't hurt if you addressed me that way, – Damon replied dramatically.

I rolled my eyes at Damon. What an idiot! What do my parents think of me?
– Okay, sorry. How old are you? – Damon asked.
– 17, but I'll be 18 in three weeks, – I replied. I saw surprise in his eyes.
– Haha, my father couldn't wait three weeks for you to turn 18 so everything could be legal, – Damon said mockingly.
– Why are you so surprised? – I asked.
– Just so you know, dear, I'm 25, – Damon said, leaning closer to examine my face.

I started to feel uneasy.
– You have beautiful eyes.
– Thanks.

At that moment, a maid shouted for us to come inside for dinner.
