The afternoon sun bathed the Cloud Recesses in warm, golden light as Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji strolled leisurely through the serene courtyards. The juniors had scattered to attend their various tasks, but their excited chatter about the duel still hung in the air. As they passed, the disciples couldn’t help but glance at the two seniors, their admiration palpable.

Lan Wangji walked in his usual composed manner, while Wei Wuxian swung his arms in a carefree fashion, the difference between their personalities as obvious as ever. Yet, as always, they moved in perfect sync, like the yin and yang they represented.

"So," Wei Wuxian said, breaking the comfortable silence as they rounded a corner, "what do we do now, Lan Zhan? You’ve won our little duel, and I’m stuck being a good boy for the whole day. What do you have planned for me? Lectures? More sparring?"

Lan Wangji cast a sidelong glance at Wei Wuxian, his expression as calm as ever, though there was a barely perceptible glint of amusement in his golden eyes. "There is no need for plans."

Wei Wuxian let out a dramatic sigh, throwing his arms up. "No plans? Lan Zhan, you’re too boring sometimes! We should do something fun. Come on, let’s think of something before I die of boredom."

Lan Wangji stopped walking and turned to face Wei Wuxian, studying him with a thoughtful expression. "What do you suggest?"

Wei Wuxian’s eyes lit up as soon as he realized Lan Wangji was giving him some control over the day. He clasped his hands together in mock reverence. "Ah! You’re letting me decide? What a rare treat!"

Lan Wangji gave him a small nod. "Within reason."

Wei Wuxian chuckled. "I should have known there’d be conditions. Alright, let me think." He paused, tapping his chin theatrically before grinning. "I’ve got it! Let’s visit the rabbits."

Lan Wangji blinked, caught off guard. "The rabbits?"

Wei Wuxian nodded enthusiastically. "Yes! The fluffy little guys you take care of at the back mountain. You’re always feeding them, right? I want to see them. Besides, what better way to spend a peaceful day than with some cute, furry creatures?"

Lan Wangji’s eyes softened. "If that is what you wish."

"Great!" Wei Wuxian exclaimed, already walking in the direction of the back mountain. He glanced over his shoulder with a grin. "You’re always so serious, Lan Zhan. It’s time for some relaxation. Rabbits are good for the soul, you know."

Lan Wangji fell into step beside him as they made their way toward the quiet, secluded part of the Cloud Recesses. The path to the back mountain was lined with tall, slender bamboo trees that swayed gently in the breeze. The sound of rustling leaves created a soothing backdrop to their walk, and Wei Wuxian couldn’t help but feel a sense of peace settle over him.

When they arrived at the small clearing where the rabbits lived, Wei Wuxian’s face lit up at the sight. A group of white rabbits hopped around lazily, some nibbling on the grass while others rested under the shade of a large tree. The sight was undeniably adorable, and even Lan Wangji seemed to relax in their presence.

Wei Wuxian crouched down, extending his hand toward one of the rabbits. "Come here, little guy," he coaxed, his voice soft and gentle. One of the bolder rabbits hopped closer, sniffing his hand before nudging it with its nose.

Wei Wuxian beamed, gently scratching behind the rabbit’s ears. "See, Lan Zhan? They love me!"

Lan Wangji knelt down beside him, watching quietly as the rabbit nuzzled against Wei Wuxian’s hand. "They are calm in your presence."
