KAI'S P.O.V.

*Two Weeks Later*

Staring into the depth of what seemed like never ending darkness, I reached into both of my deep pockets of my denim blue jeans, retrieving a lighter from one, & the pack of Marlboro from the other. I opened the box to feel only one more cig left. I took it out, & flung the box to the side of the room. I placed the cig in my mouth, rolling my thumb against the striker wheel, making my way to the fuel lever, to ignite my cig with a flame. I inhaled the smoke, taking a few slow draws. Slowly, I turned my head to my window, which is right across from Mars.
I stared at her well lit room window. The blinds were wide open, & her window was open as well with candles lit around it. The smell of fresh lit peppermint invited itself into my room. I could tell she just walked out of the shower, the way her hair dripped. I got up from my bed, walking over to the window. I wanted to talk to her. I slowly blew the smoke out of my nose, held the cig in one of my hands, folding my arms on to the window sill.

"Pssst"

I thought by doing this I would her attention, but it didn't, so I tried again but louder.

"PSSSSSSST!"

Eventually within a couple of seconds, Mars appeared at the window, with her left eyebrow raised & her arms folded.

"What?!" She said with an unpleasing tone.

"What are you doing right now?" I asked.

She rolled her eyes.
"I'm sure you've seen this towel on me for the past minute"

"You're right I've seen it on, & I've seen it off as well"
I said as I took the last inhale, before finishing my cig off.

She wasn't amused by this joke. She pressed her lips together, as her eyes bore into mine, as she stuck her middle finger up.

"Bye" she said walking away.

I couldn't help but burst into a mini laughter.

"No! No! Noo! I'm sorry" I croaked between laughs.

She walked back to the window, with a facial expression that said "I'm done with you shit"

I stared into her eyes, as if she were right in front of me, & held her gaze.

"Look-" she began

"Mars.." I began at the same time.

"You go first!" We both said at the same time as well.

The corners of her mouth turned a little up, she put her head down trying to hide the smile she now wore on her face. I gushed up a smile too. She was too adorable right now. I wanted to climb out of my window, & jump into hers. I wanted to hold her, her & the beauty she held within her.
