"Yeah sure it's to the left or you can use the master bathroom in my room ..oh my gosh did I invite him into my bed room! I mentally scream as he walked toward the spare bathroom.. so he didn't see it as an invitation "let's just play it off like it's not a big deal".. breath Beth your acting like some airhead teenager around her crush.. wait I'm too old to have a girlish crush on jack .. I shook my head trying to erase the though but it only intensified.

He could tell that inner turmoil and tension that were brewing between us."I'm a horrible host. You came here to save me and I didn't offer you a towel or even something to drink.."

I practically almost ran to the kitchen then called out what I had " jack I got

Tea I Searched the empty cabinets coming up with a bottle of six year old bottle of gin .

"That would be great for both but it's kinda late and all" he stated he couldn't even look at me to speak to me. Jack just walked towards the hall as I stopped him and gave him a half filled shot glass . He took a shot and downed it in one drink and tried to flee. I took my shot an drank it just as he did " salute". Awkward silence descended upon the room just before I ran to the laundry room and grabbed him a folded towel.

Electricity shot over my skin as His hands skimmed mine as he reached for the towel. Did he feel this ?or once again this is one sided? I wondered as his features hardened and he disappeared into the bathroom.

Oh my gosh this is a disaster! I squealed as the door slowly shut. I looked at the time then at my phone.. two -thirty ..  all my sisters would be happily sleeping with their mates by now..

I called the only other night owl I know..Danny picked up on the first ring..

Danny and Elsbeth's conversation

Danny:Hello Chica miss me already? 

Elsbeth: you know it but serious if Kyle would be up I would call him but he is in sleepy town right now. So, you have to help me

Danny: shoot if your calling me this late at night just after you left my house then ..what's up ?

Elsbeth : I told him about the creeper following me home and how I called jack over. That now the trouble is gone but I have a wet guy in my apartment. To top it off we kissed and he... froze.

Danny: I told you to let me walk you home but then you wouldn't have prince hottie over. Don't take this personal but ouch.. it's not a good thing for a guy to freeze during and after a kiss . It means two things he is not into you that way.. or he is directly holding back not to pounce on ya and revenge you . Shifters are not known for gentleness when it comes to ... ( awkwardly clears his throat)umm.. bedroom activities.

Elsbeth : I growled loudly at the thought he maybe shamed to kiss me!or maybe it's the fact that he's my brother-in-law. Maybe he is regretting ever coming here in the first place. The question flowed off my tongue more quick than Danny could answer. I finally too a breath from the rambling as the door knob twisted. I gotta go he is coming back ttyl.
