Later That Morning, Neo's POV
I woke up as usual, in complete silence. I don't like to be surrounded with noise during the morning, but some days it can't be helped. I went to where Roman was standing, overlooking the city.
"Neo, how long do you think the White Fang will listen to us? I mean, Faunus are going to die in Mountain Glenn. A lot of them, if I were to guess. The Grimm count there is fairly high, and we're going to be working with bombs and stuff." Roman said, clearly wanting to just get this off of his chest. He would always say stuff like this to me whenever he wanted to tell someone, but not get any smart comments from Emerald or Cinder in return.
I walked up beside him, loving to see the city as sleepy as it was now. I eyed Emerald and Mercury on the street below us, silently worried about what that would bring. I poked his shoulder and pointed to them, turning to see Roman bending his cane in frustration.
"Neo, could you take care of them for me? You can get it done much faster than I can." Roman said, going down into the warehouse to check on the dust movements.
I appeared behind them silently, silently happy that I was able to appear in such a badass way. I tapped on their shoulders, switching in front of them when they turned around. When they turned back, Mercury almost screamed.
"What the hell Neo?" He said, seeing Emerald laughing so hard she was on the ground.
"Just a bit of revenge for making fun of me the other day." I thought to myself, before holding out the address to Tukson's Book Trade, the shop they were heading to. I gave them a quizzical look, as if to ask 'Where are you going?'
"Where did you get that?" Emerald asked, checking her pocket. She noticed it was her handwriting. I got Roman to train me in pickpocketing last week and it paid off I guess.
"We noticed that Tukson wasn't taken out yet, and Cinder specifically said to have him taken out before we left." Mercury said, snatching the paper back. I waggled a finger towards him as if he were a bad dog, turning them around. Taking back the paper, I returned to where Roman was standing.
"Find out what the kids were up to?" Roman said, taking the piece of paper. "Ah, shit. I better go take care of this right now." He left to go to the book trade, leaving me standing on the roof alone.
"What would my voice sound like if I had one?" I wondered to myself. I've been able to use my semblance since birth, but luckily I hadn't known until I was 10. Imagine a baby randomly teleporting about the house. I laughed to myself, then made a promise that I would research it more.
