The Next Day, Ruby's POV
I woke up early to meet Ren at breakfast. I could hardly sleep, wondering if anything could be gained from semblances. Maybe it was something cool like a sixth sense or something. I gathered my backpack and supplies for the day and rushed to meet Ren in the cafeteria.
"All I'm saying is, motion sickness is a very common problem!" I heard Jaune say to Pyrrha as I came closer to the table.
"Ren, I need to talk to you about something. Yang said you were an expert on this stuff." I said, sitting down so harshly it bumped everyone up on the other side of the table.
"What is it Ruby?" Ren asked, not looking up from his cereal.
"Semblances. Yang said that semblances take away a bit of us, but they could also, in rare occasions, add to us in a way. Do you know how that works?" I asked, filling him on the rest of what happened last night.
"Ruby, I was in your seat once. I was added to by the semblance I have. I am able to sort of 'detect' monsters around me, feeling as if I am being watched by someone. Everyone gets that feeling sometimes, but for me it's strong and true." Ren explained to me. "Nora has it as well. That's how she can stay so energetic all the time."
"Oh, so it's something that nobody would pay attention to, but it's actually really important? Cool!" I exclaimed, taking a bite out of my cookie
