Billy woke late in the afternoon in a cold sweat, confused and disoriented. He looked around as the sun bathed his room in light through the window. He tried to get up, as he felt the dizziness consumed him. He laid back down in bed. He wiped his brow and moved his hand down to his neck. He felt pain as he winced. He forced himself up out of bed as he held onto anything he could reach before he sat down at his broken mirror. His pale complexion staring him back in the face, he looked ill. He looked at his neck as he saw the puncture wounds. "What the?" He whispered to himself as he ran his finger on them, making him wince once more.
He took deep breaths as he tried to bring his memory back. Everything was hazy, he knew he was with someone, but he couldn't remember their face. The night was a blur. He heard a knocking on his door as his head felt like it was splitting. "Damn it." He shouted as he got up. "I'm coming." He called out as he did his best to walk through his room to the stairs. The further he walked the more he felt comfortable on his feet.
He made it to the door as he opened it. Colette stood in front of him. "William Villeneuve, you look awfully ill." She insisted as he looked at her. "I need you to do me a favor. I need you to come inside and look at this. I can't even remember last night." He admitted. She looked at him as she reached into her handbag and grabbed out a handkerchief and held it over her nose and mouth. She nodded her head as she stepped inside.
She went inside he kitchen as Billy closed the door and walked in behind her. He held his neck as he dropped his hand. "I don't know what's going on." Billy admitted as he began to break down. Colette looked as she dropped her hand from her mouth. She looked at the wounds. She looked confused as she touched them, and he winced. "Billy, this looks like a vampire attack. Were you out last night?" She asked confused as she stepped back from him.
"Colette, I can't remember. I know I was home. Someone came to my door for services, but I can't remember who or what they looked like for the life of me. It's just shadow. "Man, or a woman?" She asked. "Tall, definitely a man." He mentioned as he felt woozy and sat down at the table. "I guess the more important question is, how are you alive?" She asked as Billy shook his head. He looked up at her. "I don't know. I don't understand. I can't remember any of it." Billy said as he wiped his tears. "I'm so scared, what do I do?" He added.
Colette stood in the kitchen as she thought for a moment. "Let me see your teeth." She stated as she leaned down and Billy bared his teeth to her. His teeth looked normal. "For some reason they didn't kill you. I've never seen or heard anything of such. I have a friend; she lives just outside the city at the Auclair Manor. Get some more rest, and I will come get you tonight." Colette stated as Billy nodded his head. "Do you need me to help you upstairs?" Colette asked as Billy shook his head. "I'll get back up there. Splash my face with some cold water beforehand. Maybe this is just a nightmare." Billy stated.
Colette went to leave as she turned and looked at Billy. "Take care of yourself Billy. We'll get to the bottom of this." She mentioned as Billy gave her a small wave. She left through the door as Billy sat at his kitchen table. He stared into the abyss as he tried to remember his night.
