Weeks had past and Billy spent his days working and keeping away from any night guests. It cut down significantly on how much he made. He was having a hard time paying his rent. He sat in his home at night as he read his book. He heard a knock on his door as he looked confused. "I didn't leave the lantern on, did I?" Billy questioned himself as he got out of bed and went down the stairs. He looked through the side window; there was no glow of his lantern. He went to ascend the stairs again as he heard the knock.

He stopped and sighed as he turned and walked to the door. He opened it without looking. "I'm sorry, I am not in business this night." Billy stated as he finally looked. His heart felt like it dropped to his feet as a tall, muscular man stood at his doorstep. His long dark hair blew gently in the breeze. He began to panic as the night he was attacked came back to him. The shadow had a face once again. His breaths became rapid as the man looked at him. His eyes almost glowed in the night.

"Please don't fear me. I don't want to hurt you. I just need to taste you once more." The man spoke. "You can't come in; I revoke your entry." Billy stated in panic. His eyes welling up with tears as his body shook. His face contorting to his cries. The man looked at him, with such pity written on his face. He smiled. "I'm not going to kill you. I just need to sample you. It's all I ask. I will pay handsomely, like the first time." The man spoke.

"I don't understand." Billy cried out, his body fighting his shakes. "There is just something about you Billy. I need to taste you again. Something is calling me to you. Let me sample your delicacy again. Just tonight. You will wake again. I promise you this." The man spoke with a small smile across his lips.

"Please leave me alone. You cannot come in." Billy begged. The man went to take a step closer as he backed up. He began to sniff the air. He looked down at something beside the doorstep. He smiled as he teeth showed. His chuckled filled with slight anger. He looked back at Billy. "I smell you have been to a Voodoo Queen. Clever. She left you a gift, I cannot enter. But alas, I was not here to harm you. I'm not like the others. I just enjoy sampling. I've traveled oceans and lands for so many years to find someone like you. I hope that you can understand what I am trying to say. I will go, but it will not stop this craving I have for you. Rest well Billy." The man spoke as he turned and stepped down the stairs.

Billy watched in fear as he walked away. The man never turned and looked back at him. He eventually moved along the distance and disappeared around a corner of a building. Billy stood in fear at the door, his body shaking, but his gaze was distant. "Billy, are you alright?" Colette called to him as it brought him back. He looked to her. "He was just here." Billy admitted as Colette walked to him. He checked his neck. "Did he hurt you?" Colette asked.

He shook his head. "He couldn't enter. He said something about me visiting a Voodoo Queen." Billy admitted as he remembered the man looking down. He looked down and realized there was a jar. He picked it up. It was filled with dirt and several other things he couldn't tell in the darkness of the night. "Esme had me bring that to you. Keep it there. He can't enter that way, but you will need to be safe on the streets. What did he say to you? Do you remember what he looked like?" Colette asked. "I do." Billy mentioned as he nodded his head. He began to explain everything to her and how the man looked.
