Introversion

We don't choose. That's what most people don't understand. We don't choose to be alone, to feel alone, to hole ourselves up in a room away from everyone else. We NEED to do those things. If we don't we slowly break down. We become tired, easily irritated, and more emotional (at least in my case). Introverts  NEED time to recharge. They need time after much social interaction to prepare for more interaction because social interaction wears us out.

Now that's not to say that introverts can't be social. They just aren't usually social for long periods of time. Speaking from experience, I have extroverts around me all the time in those I love, my friends, my work, and I am social when I need to be but when I don't need to be I try my best to get that alone time to just relax and recharge. I don't thrive on social interaction.

Introverts don't thrive on being social. They thrive on doing something they love during their downtime/recharging period (like me and writing ).  We are a sensitive bunch who love to act tough. When we love someone we love them with all of our heart.

Introverts are those who make up the backstage, the smarts behind the wits, the voice who prefers not to be heard. We are the people who enjoy making a silent yet significant change in the world no matter how small. Some can be strong and speak out in a slightly louder voice (YouTube stars for instance) but a majority of us just do background work to make change and love doing so.

So whenever someone is quiet, keeps to themselves, always hides away in a book or corner doing their thing, they most likely aren't trying to ignore you, but are instead usually just an introvert. Sometimes it is better to make the first move to talk to them instead of waiting for them to come talk to you.

INTROVERTS- DON'T BE AFRAID. Talk to people no matter how scary it may seem. Go out and try to talk to people. Trust me when i say that at least once IT WILL WORK! You will make a new friend and it will be worth it.
