'Late nights in the middle of June'
Midsummers. The day when Lilah wanted to shoot herself in the head several times. In Lilahs personal opinion, Midsummers was a kookshit party that involved snooty rich people fratenizing and judging the slightly less rich. In shorter words, kook shit. She always begged her mom to let her miss it but being the 'richest family on figure 8 it was their duty to attend every event'. No matter how much shit the people on the cut where in, the Kooks would still thrive.

Lilah twisted her hair around the wand of her pearl babyliss curler, counting in her head. Her little sister Kayla bounced off the walls of her room, waiting for her to finish her hair so she could do hers. Lil loved her little sister more than anything. She wouldn't go anywhere unless her little sister could come too.
Now applying glittery pink eyeshadow onto her sisters eyelid, Lilah sat kayla sat on her vanity chair. Kay whispered, careful to not let her father hear.
"is Rafe going to be here?" she whispered.
"Yeah" Lilah whispered in a hushed manner. Kayla was the only girl in the whole world Delilah told about all her secrets . They would twist their pinkies together and kiss them tight. Their own secret promise.
Kay fluttered her now glamourised eyelids open and looked in the vanity. She always looked up to her elder sister. She thought she was beautiful. How could she ever compare to that?
"I feel stupid" kay whined, crossing her arms. "so? Everyone feels stupid" Lilah lifted herself onto the vanity. "do you feel stupid?" "Yeah I did and then i just chose not to feel stupid.." she ordered Kay to pucker her lips so she could apply her strawberry shortcake lipgloss. "I don't think I can get to that point.." she followed her orders. "90% of life is confidence and the great thing about that no one knows if its real or fake. Now go put your dress on before Dad yells." she lifted her little sister out of the chair and placed her on the floor before getting her own dress out.
