All of sudden, the TARDIS began to shake and rock violently. "Stop messing around Doctor" Sarah shouts. The doctor looks panicked and turns on the screen to see the outside. The TARDIS is surrounded by stone angel statues. Sarah steps back slowly her eyes fixed on the TARDIS door. "Doctor...look.. quickly!!!". A stone angels hand reaches through the TARDIS door it's stone fingers reaching out.

The doctor grabs Sarah around the waist and pulls her behind his back. He grabs his sonic screwdriver and scans the unusual creature. "Oh dear...we are in trouble.. Don't. Even. Touch. It." K-9 whizzes over to the creature to examine it with his aerial and before the doctor can shout at him to get away K-9 vanishes into thin air. Sarah screams out desperately "NO K-9!!! WHAT HAVE THEY DONE WITH HIM!!!!! DOCTOR SAVE HIM PLEASE". In an act of desperation she runs up to the creature and touches it's arm and she is thrown through time back to 1927 and lands with and thump next to K-9 who has exploded from the impact and is now a scrap of metal.

Sarah Jane begins to sob picking up the bits of metal trying to put him back together. "NO PLEASE K-9, YOU CAN'T BE GONE... DON'T LEAVE ME WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITHOUT YOU". She places her head in her head in her knees and sits by the only remains of the one thing that had stuck by her side when she needed him most.

Sarah is surrounded by weeping angels as she stares blankly at the remains of her best friend. Suddenly, a weak almost undetectable robotic voice begins to speak "Don't blink mistress". It was K-9! His glowing red voice box was the only thing left of him that hadn't been shattered to pieces when he landed in 1927. Sarah looks around the floor in confusion. She gently picks up the glowing red voice box gently cupping it in her hands and she whispers "I'll protect you, don't worry". Sarah stands and turns to face the angel that destroyed her best friend. She isn't frightened and shows no signs of backing down. "You may have hurt him once but I won't let you hurt him again..". Sarah desperately looks around and spots a small shed. She seems to have landed on the lawn of a large stately home. She turns away from the angel and begins to run towards the shed. The angel continues to move closer to her every time she runs it's cold lifeless hand reaching out to grab her but it never quite touches her. She kicks down the door of the shed fuelled only by her intense hurt and fury at her best friend being smashed to pieces in front of her. Sarah glances around desperately as the angel moves closer and closer...

She pauses and smirks as she picks up a sledgehammer..

"I wonder what would happen if I just..."
