Today is my first day of my second job. I am quite excited, which is why I woke up early this morning.
"Um Madison, I'm glad you're staying here, but if every day you have to get letters and gifts from your secret admirers, I suggest you give another address" John B enters my room holding an envelope.
"What do you mean gifts and letters?"
"I found this at the front door, open it and then join us at the Wreck?" asks John B handing me the envelope.
"I've been banned from that place," I complain.
"That's not true, you were just fired. Come on, we'll wait for you there."
"I can't, I have to meet with the children I have to look after," I remind him.
"Are you a nanny now? Anyway, let us know. Bye" I say goodbye to him and stay alone in the room.
I start to open the envelope and what I find inside leaves me bewildered.
My maid uniform that I used at Wreck.
It is clean, perfumed and ironed. Why did they bring it back if I was fired?
I only now notice a note stuck on it.
"Hot black coffee and scrambled eggs with crispy bacon. I'm waiting...
For Maddie :)"
Oh, my God.
The only person I can think of is Rafe Cameron.
Did he really do this for me?
I can't explain, though, how he can be so kind to me after all he has put me through.
I get out of bed and start getting ready for today's busy day.
I put on a light green swimsuit and a sarong to cover myself, do a quick braid and leave the house, heading to the beach.
Waiting for me are the four children: Chloe, Sam, Sophia and Marcus, accompanied by their father, I think.
"Hi are you Madison Anderson?" the man approaches, looking concerned.
I nod. "This is the list of things they're allergic to, what time they can bathe and the games they can play... I think that's it."
I pick up the list and start reading it.
ALLERGIES:
-Chloe: pollen, nuts.
-Sam: cat hair.
-Sophia: wheat, bee stings, mold.
-Marcus: yogurt.
TIMING:
-In water after two hours after meals.
The list goes on like this ad infinitum.
Saying goodbye to father, we start laying out the towels on the warm sand, it's such a nice day today.
"So you play, don't stray too far and if you need anything I'm here," I say as I lay down on the towel. Today is going to be a long day.

Suddenly I wake up from the nap I was taking because of the itch in my leg.
I move my eyes a little and what I see blows my mind.
The children have covered both my legs with warm, wet sand.
"What the heck?"
I glare at all three of them. They stand on the seashore pretending not to care.
I start trying to get the sand off the legs; I can't believe it, they're brats.
