Always

Melanie's POV:

Melanie was getting ready to leave the party and went to find sam and colby to say goodbye. She saw Colby was  snogging Emily. She found a pillow and whacked him round with it and he looked up, confused. He noticed it was melanie and shot her the middle finger.
"I'm going home! Bye you stupid ass!" Melanie shouted over the music and Emily pulled him into another kiss, so Colby just waved and Melanie rolled her eyes and went to find Sam.

He was talking with Elton and some other guys in the kitchen. She walked up to them.
"Hey! Sam! I'm going!" Shouts over the music again. Sam pulls her into a hug.

"See you on Monday," Sam smiled and then released her, before going back to talking with his mates. Melanie started to leave the kitchen.

"Mel! Where's Colby?" Sam shouted.
"Making out with Emily in the dining room!" She called back as she weaved her way through the living room and out the front door onto the quiet street. She whipped out her phone and calls her mum for a lift. 

After calling her mum, she stood by the side of the road, waiting for her mum to show up. A screech came from down the street. Melanie's head turned just in time to see a black car speeding up the pathway, coming directly at her. It was going so fast, she didn't have time to react.

sam and colbys POV:

Colby was making out with Emily. Sam was chatting with his friends.  The music was so loud they didn't hear the screams.
Heath, one of the football guys turned the music off and everyone groaned.

"Come on dude!" Colby shouted.

"Stop! Its Melanie! Outside!" Heath panted and Sam started to run towards the front door and Colby pushed Emily off and follows. Emily scoffs and glares at him but stayed where she was.

They were greeted by a car crashed into a lamppost and Melanie.

Melanie.

She had a bloody arm and her leg was hidden under a heavy car door.

Her eyes weren't open.

"MELANIE!"
Sam and Colby ran over. Sam started to lift the car door off her leg and Heath and Elton cane over to help while Colby dialed 911.

The driver of the car had disappeared.
"Mel! Answer me," Sam begged.

They had lifted the car door off her leg, they saw that it was bloody and her tights had been ripped.

Blue lights sped around the corner and not long after, Melanie's mum came.

                     A WEEK LATER

"Mel?" Sam was sat at Melanie's bedside, she hadn't woken up but was still alive. Colby was in the corridor by the vending machines.
Melanie had started to stir and she blinked against the blinding white light of the hospital.

"Melanie!" Sam hugged her as she woke up.
"Agh!" She hadn't got used to to the surroundings in the 20 seconds she had been awake and ninja chopped sam's face out of instinct.

"Ow!" Sam held his nose.
"Oh shit! Its you! Sorry sam," melanie winced as she sat up properly and looked at sam who was chuckling even though he was in pain.

"I'm fine, how are you feeling?"

"I'm feeling shit," her head was banging and she was a little dizzy. A shooting pain ran through her leg.

Colby walked in. He was mid-way through a sausage roll and froze when he saw Mel. He blinked, taking in the sight of melanie being awake.

"Mel!" Colby smiled and ran over, and hugged her, "don't scare us like that again!!"
Sam joined in the hug. They stayed like that for a while.

"How long were you with me?" Mel asked. Holding on tighter. Sam and colby shared a quick glance then said simultaneously.

"Always."
