After being brought into the Shack, Stan took you away from Ford to give you a tour. With the way he spoke and not so subtle hints, you began to suspect he expected payment for this tour. And when the man turned around with an expectant look on his face your suspicions were all but confirmed.

"I think I have a twenty in here," You said, sighing, "Here.."

Stan eagerly took the cash, grinning like a little kid. Stanford sighed, placing a hand over his face and shaking his head.

"Stanley, they're our guest. You shouldn't make them pay for a to-"

Your raised hand in front of his face quieted him.

"It's fine," You began, "Besides, you can't keep a business like this running if every guest gets a free tour."

"I-" Ford started to say, then let out another sigh, "..guess you're right."

Stan looked rather pleased hearing he was right, smirking at his twin. After a normal tour of the house portion of the Shack, Ford led you to a room with a rolled up blue carpet near the door.

It was a nice looking room, with plenty of books lining a few shelves. A long couch was directly across from the door, and a bed was tucked into the left corner of the room on the wall with the door. There was a desk in the other corner, in the far left. Papers and three red books with fake gold glued onto them. A six fingered gold hand was on each cover, labelled 1, 2 and 3.

Ford noticed your intrigued look, following your gaze to the books.

"Ah, you noticed my journals," He said, "Those are newer books I had purchased, as my previous ones were unfortunately burnt to a crisp by someone I used to know. I've been working hard to rewrite them, as they were my greatest work after all."

Burnt to a crisp? Who would want to burn the journals of someone so nice? Sounded like a massive jerk.

"I'd spent seven years documenting the weird and anomalous beings within this town," Stanford went on, excited that someone was interested in his work, "Gravity Falls is home to some rather strange and intriguing phenomena. Creatures and structures that seem impossible. My journals had valuable and highly detailed information on everything within our weird little town, from the harmless Plaidypus to the dangerous but contained Shapeshifter."

Wow, this guy was a gigantic nerd.

And you loved it.

The more you listened to him explain the crazy weirdness within Gravity Falls, the more terrified, yet interested, you became. How could people live in a town with so many dangerous creatures? It sounded crazy and impossible to be true, but the moment Ford showed you a preserved 'Eye Bat', you realized it was true. And after noticing your reaction to an eyeball with bat wings, which was nearly vomiting, Stanford decided that was enough weirdness for you today.

"I can show you more tomorrow, Y/N," He said, "You can sleep in here until you find permanent accommodations, or.." He paused for a moment, "O-or until you leave, i-if you decide Gravity Falls isn't the place for you.."

He looked.. worried? Did he..? No, no he couldn't. He was probably just happy to have a new set of ears eager to learn more about the town. Placing a hand on his shoulder, you looked up into his blue eyes. Curse this man for being so tall.

"This is literally the exact thing I was looking for," You explained, smiling, "I'd be crazy to leave."

"You'd be even crazier to stay." He laughed.

"Guess I'm crazy then," You told him, shrugging, "Might be dangerous and weird, but it's starting to grow on me."

"But you've only seen the Mystery Shack," Ford said, "And we're the only people you've met so far."

"I know," You said, winking at him and.. making him blush? "Now I'm gonna get ready for bed, it's late. Mind leaving for a moment so I can change?"

Ford nodded, leaving you to get into your sleepwear. This was actually a nice day, awesome since you never had those. Everyone would always shun you when they realized you knew nothing about anything, so having someone who treated you like a normal person felt incredible. You lay on Ford's couch and called out to him, letting the man know he was ok to enter again.

As you stared at the ceiling that night, you knew you were going to like it here. And finally you weren't going to be the weirdest thing in town, not here at least.

The feeling still wouldn't go away however.

That person or, remembering what Ford told you, creature was still watching you.
