The next morning you woke to Ford gently shaking your arm. Rubbing your eyes and stretching, you sat up trying to remember where you were.
"Huh..?" You mumbled, "W-where am I again..?"
The older man chucked, causing your head to turn.
Oh yeah, you were in the Mystery Shack. Seeing Ford looking at you the way he was made your cheeks grow hot. God what was this old man doing to you? The thoughts running through that head of yours about the man hovering over you would make a porn star blush.
Stanford noticed your blushing face, clearing his throat.
"Are you.. ok, Y/N?" Ford asked, "You are, uh.. quite red."
Did he have to bring it up? A sigh escaped your lips.
"Yeah I'm good," You replied, sitting up, "Just had an embarrassing memory from last week pop into my head, heh.."
That was a terrible lie, Y/N. You suck at this. Ford didn't seem convinced, a brow on his gorgeous face raising quite high. Yeah, he definitely wasn't convinced.
"Oook then.." Stanford said, "Uhh, I'm heading out with Stanley to go research some new creatures that showed up in the forest. If you need me, here's my number. It may take some time for me to answer.." He looked a tad embarrassed as he handed you a slip of paper, scratching the nape of his neck, "Mabel finally got me to buy a cellular phone, but uh.. I still haven't fully figured it out.."
You giggled a bit, pushing the blanket over your legs aside to stand up. Looking into those gorgeous blue eyes, you gave the older man a patient smile.
"Hey, we're in the same boat ok?" You explained, "I forgot how to use mine. Memory loss is such a fun thing, eh?"
Stanford laughed. God damn he was cute. How the hell were you going to convince him to go out with you? Tall, smart, funny, artistic and sexy, he's miles out of your league.
You had a better chance dating one of the creatures out of his journals.
"Anyway, I really must go. Stanley isn't very patient, and he's quite excited at the prospect of punching some new creature with those brass knuckles of his. I'll see you later tonight, Y/N!!"
Once Ford had left, you sighed. You felt like an absolute idiot, having fallen for him. He's so perfect and you're so.. not. Pushing those thoughts aside, you left the room as well. You decided you might as well explore the town while Ford was gone.
It was a simple little town, and everyone was welcoming to you. It felt amazing to be somewhere where people didn't shun you for seeming out of place because everyone here was a little out of place, so you fit right in.
Little shadows darting around through the bushes kept catching your eye. What was that? Whatever they were, they weren't very big. You soon found out however, when a piece of cloth was placed over your nose and mouth after you got a bit too close to the forest.
"Sshh, ssshhhh.." A voice whispered, "Sleep.."
Second day here and you were being kidnapped.
Fun.
