Hope (Harry Hook Love)

Chapter 7

Harry's POV

I feel Hope's lips on the corner of mine turn cold and I squeeze my eyes tighter. I know she is gone but I keep my eyes closed because opening them would make it real. Uma pulls me away gently and when I can no longer feel her I open my eyes to see her all stone. Even as a statue she is beautiful. I pull the necklace that she gave to Gil and I out and place it on her stone neck. "I'm going to figure this out, don't worry love." I turn to Mal and step in her face fuming "You did this to her! She cares about everyone she meets and you let this happen so fix it, because I need her! She is the only person who is brave enough to speak her mind and call me out! The only one that I want to be around all the time! The only person that I worry about when I haven't seen her! The only person I have ever truly loved with everything I have! So fix this. Fix her, if you ever cared about anyone stuck on the Isle! Because the Isle needs her. I need her!" I shout in her face before storming off pulling Uma with me.

"Let's go get Gil then see if we can get Hope back to the Isle." I tell Uma while keeping back any tears. I can't be weak now. Right now I need to be strong until I get her back. I didn't get to tell her how I feel. It's my fault too, I was a jerk to her and all she has ever been was nice. I should have been better.

Uma places her hand on my shoulder. "You love her don't you?"

I nod my head not taking my eyes off of the path in front of me.

"I'm happy for you Harry. You seem different, and I don't know if that's from not having me on the Isle or from Hope but it's good. You seem more protective of people. More in charge, it's a good quality. I think I can almost see hope in your eyes. We'll get her back, Harry." I look at Uma and see determination in her eyes. I missed Uma. I missed having someone to have my back. I simply nod at Uma and turn back heading in the direction Hope was leading us in before she couldn't anymore.

I think back to when Jane used water to help Ben. "Uma, Ben was a beast until Carlos's girl sprayed him with enchanted lake water. Maybe that can cure Hope." I say with hopeful eyes.

Uma grabs my hand but I pull away from her. It doesn't feel right, it should be Hope's hand. "Let's get Gil and then we will grab Hope and take her to it. I think I know the place." Uma says.

With a plan we now run off to find Gil when we see Mal dodging pink lightning and trying to restart the ember. "She doesn't stand a chance without the ember." Uma says. I try to pull her back to find Gil when she stops me. "If Hope was still here what would she do, would she walk away from someone who needed her, or would she drop everything, even her last chance at stopping the stone from spreading to help."

Anger flushes through me "Hope isn't here!!!" I yell at Uma before I really take in what she says and agree we turn back around and head back to where Mal can see us.

Mal comes down close to us and Uma's necklace glows "We're stronger together. We're stronger together! I'm right here, Mal! Regain your might and ignite. I'm right here, girl. I'm right here. Regain your might and ignite!" The ember begins to glow. Uma and I both cheer as Mal rises facing Audry.

The ember sends a blue wave of light while the staff is sending a pick one when they collide. We are both cheering her on hoping she will win. Maybe if she does Hope will no longer be stone. The blue spark finally overtakes the pink erupting in an explosion. Mal did it. She won. "Yeah! Come on!" I shout, throwing my hook on the floor lifting and spinning a cheerful Uma around. "She did it." Putting Uma down I run back looking for Hope.

Maybe she is okay again. Please let her be okay again. When I reach her I see Carlos, Jay, Evie, and Ben around her lifeless body. I can feel myself run faster and I drop to my knees reaching out to put her head in my lap. "What's wrong, she should be better, the curse is over why isn't she better?"
