5. HE LIKES ME

It was beginning to darken and Y/N decided she needed to wash. So there she stood behind some bushes as she took out her hair and removed her clothes.

"This is not a good idea! What if somebody sees you?!" Mushu stressed.

Y/N rolled her eyes. "Then they'd get a good show." She spat in annoyance, stepping out the bushes as Mushu closed his eyes for her to pass.

"And you'd be sentenced to death!" He scolded. "So a couple of guys don't rinse out their socks. Picky picky picky! Personally I like the corn chip smell."

Y/N jumped into the water and splashed him, making Mushu grab a towel and waddle over, eyes still closed.

"Ah.." Y/N sighed refreshingly. "My scalp needs this." She grinned, letting her head fall into the water as she massaged the water throughout her head.

"Okay all right that's enough." Mushu stated. "Now come on and get out before you get all pruny and stuff."

"But I just got in?!" Y/N retorted. "Look if you're so worried, then go stand watch." She said as she rubbed her arms.

"Yeah yeah! Stand watch Mushu! While I blow our secret with my stupid girlie habits!" He imitated as he walked off, only to gasp once he saw Min walk passed. His jaw dropped.
"Oh no. Oh no oh no oh no. There's a couple of things I know he's bound to notice!"

"Lian."

Y/N eyes widened and looked up to see Min. She shrieked and covered her eyes. And then shrieked again about herself and sunk deeper into the water, now submerging her collarbones so only her head was visible.

Min swam close to her as she swam back.
"Hey what's wrong? It feels like you've been avoiding me. Hey-" he had placed a hand on her shoulder as she tried to look for an exist, Y/N cringed and splashed him with water, making him shriek as she swam away.
"Hey Lian!" He yelled, covering his face with his hands to shield them from the water being splashed at him.
"Talk to me!"

"I-it's nothing!" Y/N grinned nervously, using her legs to keep her afloat as she covered her chest with her arms underneath the water.

"I just... it's weird being in a lake with my brother in law."

"Oh. I was starting to think you didn't like me- wait What?! What did you just say?!"

Y/N cursed herself. "I meant uh.." Y/N sighed, but slowly grinned as she realised she could take advantage of the situation.

She could technically test the waters without being rejected because she was not her right now. It was like being a duchess, pretty much being treated the same as a princess, just without the responsibilities of one. Wearing a crown without the weight.

She could confess without being embarrassed at rejection because right now she was Lian. So if he said he wasn't into her, "Y/N" doesn't need to feel embarrassed.

"Lian! What do you mean by that?!" Min grabbed onto her shoulders as jolted her desperately. She was immediately pulled out of her thought process and she grinned at herself before speaking.

"Don't tell Y/N... but she's had the biggest crush on you for a while now that I've accidentally conditioned myself into thinking you two will get married."
Y/N peeled his hands off and swam slightly away.
