I was disheartened to see tears in her eyes the moment I entered the room. She was utterly shocked to see me at that place.
It was tough for me to control myself and mask my emotions when she was around.
Seeing her tears flowing and her helpless state, I wanted to confront her, kiss her to wipe off all her sorrow, but for her safety,
I could endure everything, even her hatred.
I knew she would not easily accept this marriage proposal. I had to bring that man in front of her.
I could not bear to see her even talking to him for a second, so I left the room immediately.
I called Kian and ordered in my usual cold authoritative tone,
"Did you inform them to reach her?"
"Yes, sir, they will be reaching in the next 5 minutes," Kian answered, trying not to upset me further.
I just nodded and declined the call.
After exactly 5 minutes, all of them entered the hall. I moved toward them and was welcomed with their questioning gazes.
"Kabir, why have you called us here, and what preparations are going on in the garden?" my father asked on behalf of everyone.
"Yes, son, and why did you ask to leave Ruhani and Ruhan at home? They were excited to come," Maa said with a worried look.
Not wanting to worry them further, I said with cold determination evident in my tone, "I am getting married."
They all gasped at the sudden information, which shocked them to an extent.
Chachi, the over-excited one, said, "Kabir, so why have you called us here? We could have started the preparation, beta."
"Will you please stop, and why this suddenly?" chachu asked sternly before I could answer.
Anil's uncle interrupted, "I guess we should leave. We are not needed. It is your family matter."
For God's sake, somebody tells him I am marrying your daughter. They were about to leave when I ordered, "Nobody will leave."
I could see all of them glaring at me, but I didn't pay heed and asked Arohi Bhabhi to distract everybody until I knew her decision,
"Where is bhaiya?"
