- Katherine woke up from her bed. She felt normal, but the same time she felt sad, probably because her cousin is missing. She did her usual, brush her teeth, brush her hair, and do her makeup. She always stayed in her sweatpants and top in the mornings until lunch. She liked being comfy, she was a sweetheart. Her hair was dark brown, wavy, thick, really long, she got complimented all the time about it. She also had dark blue eyes her family was in love with. Her makeup style was cute. She only put on black mascara with black eyeliner on her lower lash lines. Her footsteps were downstairs as she made her coffee with cinnamon roll creamer. The sound of knocking on the door came into her ears which made her run to the door. The door opened and her dark blue beautiful eyes made contact with dark brown handsome eyes. "Is this Katherine Dawson?" Katherine was also a quiet girl sometimes. "Yes." His hand shook hers. "Detective David, may I come in?" her head nodded from his question. His big footsteps were loud, but quiet as he walked inside her warm, comfy house. "So..we're talking about Allison Jones. When was the last time you saw her?" Katherine's answer was the Fourth of July. Katherine stared at Detective David's eyes as he asked questions, but she couldn't help but also look at his hands. He wrote the answers in his small notepad. His hands were big, muscular,so was his whole body. He was 6'5". She was 5'2". His footsteps were loud, but quiet again as he slowly walked around the living room, looking around it. He liked how there was a small white dresser with black knobs,a record player sitting on top of it. "What's your favorite singer?" He asked with his deep and calm voice. Katherine was surprised he was asking her a question about herself, most people didn't. "Uh.." She paused. "Bee Gees..or Lana Del Rey." He grinned a little, saying quietly. "Let me tell you a secret,I like listening to them too." That sentence made a small smile appear on her face. Her smile was sweet, she always smiled without teeth, her teeth were an insecure part of her ever since she was 10,or younger, she doesn't remember. He was still writing things down in his small notepad. He questioned Katherine of having a boyfriend,a confused look appeared on her face as she questioned about why these questions are about her,not Allison. A soft chuckle came out his mouth as he nodded.

Minutes go by,questions asked, answers written. Some about Allison, some about Katherine. It was time for him to leave. He slowly walked towards the door, looking down at her eyes. "Find her." Detective David's expression turned back into serious, nodding slowly. "I promise." His hand touched her slightly as he gave her a small piece of paper, revealing a phone number. "Give me a call if you need anything."The door shut. It was quiet, the sound of the fire crackling in the fireplace was playing in her ears.

The night went by,Katherine got more tired. She was in her bed, scrolling through her photos of Allison and her smiling on the Fourth of July. Guilt was one of the feelings she had the most at the moment. That her cousin is missing and that she couldn't just stay beside her the whole time. She still worried even tho she knew Detective David would be trying, but that was the type of girl Katherine was. She worried 24/7. She had a calm face, not a calm mind. Allison was on her mind all day,but something changed that as she got a text from an unknown number. The text was opened, revealing a picture that disturbed her. The picture was Detective David talking to her earlier by her doorstep,it looks like someone took that picture far away. Panic ran through her body, she wasn't someone that would say "Who is this?" or "Stop texting me" She would just block the number,so she did that. Her phone was set on her nightstand. She tossed her body around the bed, trying to fall asleep, but she couldn't help but be scared about that number that texted her. After a few minutes, she couldn't take anymore, her phone was grabbed again and the phone number was pressed. A few minutes later the door quickly was opened. "There's this person that texted me. It was a picture of me and you talking! Like today! Me and you! I don't know what to do so I had to call you!" Katherine rushed,Detective David couldn't help but smile a little, nodding. "Okay, okay,I need you to calm down, sit down." He gently grabbed her hips and sat her down on the couch in front of the fireplace that was lit. He looked through the message, copying the number onto his notepad. He tried helping her calm down, and for some of it she felt better. She couldn't help but beg him to stay with her for tonight. He nodded slowly. Detective David was a cold, rough man. Katherine was sweet, nervous.

Katherine was laying in her comfy white bed, curled up,sleeping softly. Meanwhile,Detective David was sitting on the ground by her other white dresser with black knobs, but bigger. His head rested against it as he shut his eyes slowly. Detective David never has really had a good sleep, always waking up at night so during hours he would wake up,checking to see if she was still comfy, asleep and of course she was. He went back to sleep.

In the morning,he groaned softly, the sun shining in his eyes,Detective David didn't move much in his sleep, but his slick back dark brown hair was messed up a bit. His eyes looked at Katherine, she was still asleep. He slowly grabbed his notepad beside him,his pencil too,he wrote something on it and put it on the dresser. About 10 she woke up. Her eyes didn't find Detective David anywhere, but she did find the note on the dresser. She read it. The note wasn't much at all. "Work." She couldn't help but chuckle softly, finding it funny. There she went, doing the things she does in mornings.
