Aadrika's POV
I read somewhere "Literature is the best medium to escape reality" and trust me it is my escape.
It's not like my life is miserable, I've the most loving ,caring Parent and the world's most reliable best friend. They cherished and loved me selflessly. And I'm so very grateful to them.
But sometimes I feel nothing, it feels so hollow that I just wanted to run and hide somewhere, where no one can find me.
I wanted to be invisible.
I always valued my life. But sometimes it doesn't feel like mine anymore.
I don't want to be like this. I know I should talk to someone but whenever I decide to tell my parents or Chitaksh my throat constricted.
It feels like I will never able to overcome from that incident and it will burned me at some point.
"Hey Aadrika" I heard the most irritating voice as she is approaching me "Hi Pooja" I said nonchalantly.
I specifically choose library for a piece of mind as I was not in a mood to talk and face anybody, and look at my bright luck that I have to face this creature ugghh.
She sat on the adjacent bench putting her bag on the table facing me, and I'm damn sure now she will start her unstoppable banter and the end result will always be the same ( that is we end up in a cat fight a literal one )
As I continued reading my book "What are you reading"? She asked me.
"Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte"i said showing the cover.
"Oh..it must be romantic then right? I heard as you only read fiction or rom com novels" she said showing his fake toothy grin.
I hate when people judge readers who has soft place for fictions.
We read for fun why it is too tough to understand, we don't need to work on our ourself, we are already very happy ,we didn't need to make more money and be rich, we didn't going through any mental disorder, then why will we read those.
While people who are into fiction they are having more interpersonal skill.(I read somewhere).
"But you know you should read non fiction it will enhance your productivity" she said with a straight face.
"Nope"I said nodding my head.
"What?? "did you not believe or heard they are the original books you should give time to not some hypothetical stories"She said.
Oh God!! I've only thoda sa patience left .
"Oh" I said with boring face, trying to encourage her to tell me which books she read that so called enhanced her productivity.
"I ve some recommendations for you" She said.(Did I ask her for her TBR)
"Really"? I asked scrunching my nose
"I've read Murakami and it was awesome, you should try that" she said with proud face.
"You mean a book called Murakami"? i asked with a grin.
"Yes of course a book Murakami it's very famous everybody talks about it don't you know that how can you be a reader " she said with a fake smile.( Poor girl that means she just a watched a half Instagram reel)
