We went back home and my dad suddenly says
"Finally! Get me a beer Madelyn!"
I sigh and went to the kitchen getting a beer, I went to my dad and he said
"Sit down here"
I sat down next to him and he ruffles my hair
"Why'd u cut ur beautiful hair???"
He asked a bit angry but playfully
"I.. didn't like it."
"Hm.. fair enough"
He started drinking the beer
"Want some?"
"I'm 14!"
"Too bad ain't it?! Be grateful for once u crazy brat!!"
I was gonna go but he wrapped his arm around me in a comfort way..
He was the only one who understood but didn't know how to show it
Suddenly my mom hits me hard on my head with her purse
"Failure!!"
"WHAT THE F%#K LARA?!"
My dad yells in anger and rubs my head as I didn't say anything..
"She failed her presentation bc she kept stuttering!! She's a failure!! Her grades are always low!!"
"Really?! Madelyn!!! Ur grounded!"
"What?!" I exclaim
"No going out! And start studying now!"
"Dad I am doing good."
"Prove it!"
"I got 3/5 and 6/10 and-"
"Bad grades" my mom cut me and hits me again and my dad sighed
"Enough! Idc anymore go away u brat!"
I exclaim and grab my bag going upstairs
I was just used to it that I didn't even cry, I close the door lean against it and slide down sitting as tears formed, suddenly I felt a slam in my backs do I exclaim
"OW WHAT THE HELL???" I look behind me, it was my annoying brother
"Hahaha! Dad got mad at u! Ur not daddy's girl anymore! Cry about it baby!"
"GET OUT U UGLY DECEASED FOOL"
I yell and close the door on his face, I lay on bed and opened my phone, Dylan texted me!
"Hey Maddie!"

"Wanna go to the cafe together?"
I giggle stupidly kicking my feet my face going red as I felt a fluttering fuzzy feeling in my chest, I sigh and reply
"..I'm grounded.. but I can tell my mom I'm coming over and lie about it!"
"Are you sure Maddie?"

I got up and went to my dad first
"Dad..?"
"What do u want brat?!"
"Can I please go to my friends house to study?"
"Which one?"
"...Dylan..?"
"No! I know damn well you gu-"
"Eww! Dad no! I'm going there and Alice is there too! Plus his parents are there!!"
Tbh whatever dad thinked I hope it happens ;3
He grumbles "fine whatever.. go just f*&k off!"
I smile "thanks dad!!" I went to my room and started packing
My make up, my clothes, my books, backpack, my uniform, my bathroom supplies (tooth brush shampoo etc) I grab the stuff I need and went downstairs
"..can I ATLEAST drive you?"
My dad says.. I thought for a bit and said "sure! Wait though I'm going to get the car ready"
My dad nods and went to change for a bit
I grab my phone and call Dylan
"Maddie! Hii!"
"Hii!! So I thought maybe I can stay for two days or so! And my dad is gonna drive u to ur house okay?"
"Oh.. also btw.. Alice is busy so she won't come over"
"Oh! Okay! Just don't mention it INFRONT of dad because he'll flip out!"
Later in the car I was a bit worried bc my dad was drunk and driving
But he did look focused
"Dad?"
"Yes hone-.. yes brat?"
I smile faintly and said
"Can we stop for ICECREAM like before?"
He thought for a bit and nodded
"I miss the old times so let's refresh it."
We pulled over for ICECREAM, later on I got 3 ice creams bc dad thought Alice was with us but no, when we arrived my dad dropped me and left without acknowledging Dylan's family
"Maddie!" I hear and felt a hug
"Dylan!"
I said and hugged him back tightly, he chuckled and said
"Let's go! I'll help u unpack"
I snicker and he looked confused
"What?"
"Dylan."
"WHATT?"
"No need to yell god! I'm a girl right"
"Yeah no sh!t"
"So..."
"S.. oh.. OH..."
"Yeah"
I snicker and his face was red, we went inside and he waited until I unpacked my stuff, I finished so he came in and we got started on the homework
"So the value of x"
I spaced out and I suddenly hear a whisper I looked confused and that's when I saw a void in the corner of his room
"Dylan.?"
"Yes?"
"...was that always there.?"
"What? There's nothing there?"
"I see it.. Dylan."
"Madelyn calm down ur hallucinating"
"IM NOT!.. IM NOT THAT INSANE!"
"ok ok! Calm down calm down.."
I look at him..
"I'm not crazy!"
"Ur not I never said u were.. you have to calm down Maddie.."
I looked frantic scared annoyed mad everything!
Later we watched a movie together, I kept glancing at him when he caught me and I looked away shy
"Maddie?"
"Hm!"
"...am I beautiful?"
"Huh?"
"U keep looking at me"
"STOP! I- U- STOP- JUST- U-"
He chuckled at me and I got embarrassed
He slowly grips my waist when suddenly
I felt an uneasy feeling... I feel eyes watching me.. like I'm INFRONT of an invisible crowd...I tensed up and started panicking quietly
"Maddie?... do u not love me..?"
"What?"
I snap out of my thoughts and look at him frantic
"Maddie is everything okay.. you've.. changed.."
"Changed?"
"You've been so alert tense and...are you alright.?"
"I-I'm fine I'm okay.. I'm..fine I'm fine..!"
"Maddie! Calm down! Ur hyperventilating!"
That's when I saw a huge long skinny black shadow with white eyes staring at me.. i stared back at it terrified as I felt the goosebumps crawling up my spine..
Dylan looked at the corner confused
"Maddie.. are u hallucinating?.. again?"
"I'm not. It's real. Hallucinations are just there.. these.. u can feel them.."
"Feel them..?"
He asked confused..
When he held my face and made me look away I felt a slight wind and when I look back... it's gone.
Where did it go..?
"Maddie?.." my eyes were filled with tears as I stare at him in the eyes he hugged me as I started sobbing softly.
(Dylan's perspective)
"Shes crying. Is it true she can feel them? This hadn't happened before, I know she hallucinates but.. I just feel like she needs to seek help.."
I thought in my mind as I hugged her tight in my arms comforting her.. I always liked her.. and I think she just wanted to fake hallucinating because.. I tried to.. kiss her?.. or she's actually starting to go insane. Poor Maddie. My love.
(Madelyn's perspective)
After a few hours after we watched the movie I just kept hearing whispers and whispers
"Maddie.. let's bake some cookies to calm u down, how about that?"
"..sure!" I loved the idea since I remember me and dad used to bake together before he became you know.. alcoholic..
I went to the kitchen my eyes a bit puffed up thanks to crying for hours
"Okay! So this is the recipe! U can grab some chocolate from the cupboard and cut them up! I'm going to go get the flour from the pantry I'll brb!"
I nod and he left so I grab some chocolate hersheys and grabbed a knife.. I froze..
"Cut urself.. hurt urself.."
Whispers repeated the same sentence again and again as I tremble and put the knife up my wrist..
"MADDIE?!"
Startled, I cut myself on accident
Dropping the knife on the ground
As I hiss and grip my finger
"WHAT THE HELL WERE U DOING?!"
I looked shocked confused scared and sad that he yelled at me, he noticed my expression and sighed feeling guilty
"Sorry. Sorry I got panicked.. I'm sorry I- *sigh* don't ever.. do that again.. I don't want u to get hurt..."
He went and came back with a bandaid and held my finger, my heart flutters as he put the bandaid around my finger
"How about.. I cut the chocolate? And u make the dough?"
"S-sure.."
