After finally arriving back where they left off, the duo continued along the path once again. This time, instead of approaching sans at his station, they walk past him, deeper into the cave system.
The chill and funky toon slowly fades as they do so, leaving the only sound they hear to be the fast moving river nearby, Morgan watching intently as a large rocks Floats down the river at a high speed while Darryl chooses to use the chest next to said river.
He finds that the two of them have somehow collected three bunches of monster candy. Did they steal from that candy bowl and just forget about it later on? Darryl chooses not to question this logic as all basic logic has already been thrown out of the window by now.
Closing the chest, Darryl turns towards and begins to walk across the rives, finding it to actually be quite shallow, Morgan follows along but stops halfway to enter what is basically a secret room. Darryl stands and waits at the other side of the river while Morgan goes inside the room, aweing at the bright and glowing mushrooms inside. Their attention is immediately taken away by the bright pink tutu in the middle of the room.
Despite how weird that would probably look, they decide to equip the item, spinning around in it happily before finally deciding to exit the room.
She comes out to find a very impatient looking Darryl.
Neither of them say anything as they continue down the hallway, coming across a relatively large patch of tall grass.
As soon as they step into the grass, they duck and freeze.
The invisible camera pans up to directly above the patch of grass to show undyne, whom of which is not facing the camera. Papyrus walks into view, a shadow over his face.

"H-hi, Undyne! I'm here for my daily report, " he says, stuttering slightly, "uhh...regarding that human I called you about earlier..."
For a second, the duo begins to collectively believe that papyrus ratted them out.
They attempt to listen in on their conversation but are only able to hear Papyrus' side. Undyne says something they can't seem to make out.
"...huh? Did I fight them?" Papyrus seemingly replies to Undyne.
"y-yes! Of course I did!" He exclaims, settling into a stereotypical hero pose,"I fought them valiantly!"
Once again, undyne says something the duo can't make out, only being able to assume things based on Papyrus' responses.
"...what? Did I capture them..?" Papyrus seems nervous now, "w-w-well, " he stutters once again, "no."
"I tried very hard, Undyne, but in the end..." his expression falls,"I failed."

Despite how papyrus acted earlier, Darryl can't help but feel slightly sorry for the guy.

"...w-what?" Darryl is taken out of his thoughts as papyrus starts up again, "you're going to take the humans soul yourself..."
.
OK, now the duo had the right to be worried. Sure, according to Morgan, Undyne is a pretty cool character, but practically - no, literally threatening their lives? That's a no-go for these humans.

"But undyne, you don't have to destroy them! You see... you see..." Papyrus tries to reason with her, approaching her slowly before immediately beginning to back away as soon as she turns to face him. Papyrus is silent for a moment, his hands forced into tense fists by his side.
"..I understand."
"I'll help you in any way I can." He hurrys away, not wanting to stay for longer than he felt he needed to.

The duo remains still, but the grass still shuffles slightly. Undyne quickly turns towards the grass, strutting towards the edge, towards the grass. her heavy armour loudly thudding against the ground, echoing against the surrounding walls. She moves closer before summoning and raising a sharp, bright pointed spear above her head, seeming to hesitate as she watches the grass intently.
Her head moves almost in a robotic fashion, surveying the area like a weaponised camera.
The light from the spear is gone within a flash, and so is she, backing away and into the darkness behind her.

After a few seconds, the duo feels free to exit the grass, brushing their skin in areas where the grass caught them slightly.
They aren't the only things to exit the grass, though. A flash of yellow practically sprints past them. Morgan recognises this to be that same monster kid they basically treated like a baby earlier. Her face flushes lightly in embarrassment.
The monster kid spins around almost in a frenzied dance.
