Four Years Ago...

Sunlight filters through the curtains, casting a soft glow across the room. The bed is a tangle of limbs, the blankets barely covering the three very naked bodies nestled together. Slowly, as the morning begins to take hold, the fog of sleep starts to lift—and so does the realization.

Karan is the first to wake. His head is pounding, and he squints against the light, but what really catches his attention is the warmth on both sides of him. Two bodies. Naked. Wait... what? He blinks, his heart skipping a beat as he glances left—Arjun. Then right—Dev.

"We're... naked," Karan mutters, panic rising in his chest. "Oh, god, we're all naked."

Beside him, Arjun groans, pulling a pillow over his face. "Why are you yelling? My head feels like it's splitting open."

Karan tugs at the blanket, trying to cover himself. "I'm yelling because I just woke up naked with both of you. What the hell happened?"

Dev stirs on the other side, blinking as he tries to focus. "Wait, what...?" His voice trails off as he looks down at himself, then at Karan and Arjun. His eyes widen. "Oh my god. Did we...?"

Karan nods, his breath shaky. "Yeah. I think we did."

There's a beat of silence as the three of them process what they've just woken up to. Then, Arjun sits up slowly, his brow furrowing in disbelief. "Wait, all three of us? Together?"

Karan lets out a nervous laugh, his hands raking through his messy hair. "Yeah, apparently that's exactly what happened. And I don't remember how we got here!"

Dev rubs his temples, wincing at the pounding in his head. "Okay, okay, let's not freak out. Maybe it's not what it looks like... I mean, we were all really drunk, right?"

Karan gives him a pointed look. "Dev, we're naked and in the same bed. I'm pretty sure it's exactly what it looks like."

Arjun runs a hand over his face, still trying to wrap his head around it. "This isn't how things are supposed to happen, right? I mean, we don't just wake up after a drunken night and realize we had a threesome!"

Karan snorts. "Yeah, well, apparently we do."

There's a brief, awkward silence as they all sit there, trying to figure out what comes next. Karan, ever the one to cut through tension, glances between them. "So... who started it? Who was all over who?"

Dev gives him a look of disbelief. "Seriously, Karan? That's what you're worried about right now?"

"Well, yeah! I mean, we need to know who made the first move here!" Karan gestures dramatically. "I've got questions, okay?"

Arjun sighs, leaning back against the headboard. "Does it matter? We all... clearly wanted it."

Karan opens his mouth to say something sarcastic but stops himself, his eyes narrowing as he looks between Dev and Arjun. "Wait. Did we want this? Like... actually want this?"

Dev hesitates, his gaze flickering between the two of them. "I... I don't know. I mean, it didn't feel wrong, did it? Last night, it felt like... something that was supposed to happen."

Arjun's eyebrows shoot up in surprise. "Wait, so you're saying you wanted this? You wanted... us?"

Dev swallows, the vulnerability clear in his eyes. "Yeah. I mean... I like you both. I didn't want to admit it, but I've been feeling this for a while now."

Karan's eyes widen, the reality of what Dev's saying sinking in. "Wait, what? You've been feeling this... for a while?"

Dev nods slowly, his voice quieter now. "Yeah. Haven't you?"

There's a heavy silence as Arjun and Karan both process Dev's words. Arjun, the rational one, shakes his head in disbelief. "So, we're sitting here talking about feelings now? Is that what this is?"

Karan frowns, a new wave of confusion hitting him. "Well, hold on. Are we saying we like each other... for real? Like... love?"

Dev glances between them, the weight of his feelings finally spilling over. "Yeah. I think that's exactly what I'm saying. This isn't just some weird drunken mistake. I care about you both."

Karan's heart skips a beat as he realizes what's happening. "I am asking so many questions... But... So... are we talking about commitment? Like, we're... actually in this?"

Arjun looks startled, his eyes wide. "Whoa, wait a second. You want to commit? Like, for real?"

Dev nods slowly, his expression open and honest. "Yeah. I think I do. I can't imagine being with just one of you. I've been trying to figure it out for months. Last night just made me realize I don't want to choose."

Karan sits up, staring at Dev. "You want to commit to both of us? Seriously? This is... serious?"

Arjun, still trying to process it all, mutters, "I thought we were just panicking about waking up naked together. Now we're talking about commitment?"

Karan suddenly bursts into laughter, the absurdity of it all hitting him at once. "Oh my god. We went from hungover panic to I love you in under five minutes."

Dev chuckles softly, though there's still that vulnerability in his voice. "Yeah, well... this is all happening pretty fast."

Arjun blinks, his mind racing. "Wait. So... we're actually thinking about this? Being... together?"

Karan looks at both of them, his panic fading as something warmer takes its place. "I mean... why not? If we all feel the same way, if we're all into each other... why shouldn't we do this?"

Dev lets out a slow breath, the tension easing from his shoulders. "It's not... conventional. But it feels right."

Arjun leans back, his head spinning for a different reason now. "We're really talking about committing to each other? Like... a real relationship?"

Karan grins, his eyes bright. "Yeah. A REAL relationship. I mean, who's stopping us? If we care about each other, if we're committed and not hurting anyone... why can't this be love like any other kind?"

Arjun looks between them, his heart pounding. "I didn't think this was even possible. But... I don't want to walk away from this. I don't want to choose either."

Dev nods, his eyes softening as he reaches for both of their hands. "Then we don't have to. We don't have to choose."

Karan sighs, his shoulders relaxing as he leans back into the pillows. "So, we're doing this. We're really going to be... us."

Arjun chuckles, the weight of the moment finally lifting. "Yeah. We are."

Dev smiles, leaning into both of them. "And I think that's enough. We don't need to explain it. As long as we're committed, as long as no one gets hurt... this is real."

Karan smirks, his playful side returning. "So... we're in a committed threesome now, huh? Guess that makes us pretty damn special."

Arjun shakes his head, though he can't hide the smile tugging at his lips. "You're unbelievable."

Karan winks. "Yeah, but you like me for it... No, I can say now that you love me for it."

Dev laughs, pulling the blanket over them. "Alright, lovebirds. How about we start this new chapter with pancakes?"

Karan grins, leaning in to kiss Dev's cheek, then Arjun's. "Now that's a plan I can get behind."

And with that, they settle back into the warmth of the bed, no longer panicking but reveling in the realization that what they've found—unconventional as it may be—is real, and it's theirs.

Love isn't about fitting into a mold—it's about finding the people who make you feel at home.
