They finally burst through a side exit, emerging into the cool night air, gasping for breath. The sounds of chaos still echoed behind them, but for now, they were free.

“Did we lose them?” Suyeon asked, looking back at the door they had just exited.

Jungkook nodded, his eyes scanning the darkened streets. “For now. But we need to keep moving. Minho won’t give up easily.”

As they turned to make their way down the alley, Suyeon felt the gravity of their situation settle in. They were being hunted, and Minho was relentless.

“Where do we go from here?” she asked, trying to keep her voice steady despite the fear creeping in.

“We need to find a safe place, somewhere Minho won’t expect us,” Jungkook replied. “I have a friend who owes me a favor. We can lay low for a bit.”

“What if he’s working with Minho?” Suyeon questioned, her heart racing. “We can’t trust anyone right now.”

“I know him. He’s reliable,” Jungkook assured her. “But we need to hurry. There’s no time to waste.”

They moved quickly, darting through back alleys and side streets, their footsteps echoing in the stillness of the night. The city felt different now, more dangerous, with every shadow hiding a potential threat.

“I hate this,” Suyeon muttered as they turned a corner. “I feel like we’re being watched.”

“We probably are,” Jungkook admitted, his voice low. “But we can’t let fear control us. We’ve come too far to turn back now.”

As they approached an old, rundown building, Jungkook paused, glancing around. “This is it. My friend’s place.”

They slipped inside, the door creaking as it closed behind them. The dim light revealed a small, cluttered space filled with mismatched furniture and the smell of stale coffee.

“Liam? Are you here?” Jungkook called out, his voice echoing through the silence.

“In the back!” came a gruff voice from somewhere in the shadows.

As they made their way through the cramped space, Suyeon couldn’t shake the feeling of unease. They were safe for now, but Minho would be relentless.

Liam appeared, his expression shifting from surprise to concern as he saw the state they were in. “What happened to you two?”

“Minho knows we’re after him,” Jungkook explained quickly. “We need to lay low until we figure out our next move.”

Liam nodded, his expression serious. “You’re in luck. I have a spare room. You can stay here until it’s safe.”

As they settled into the small, dimly lit room, Suyeon felt a wave of exhaustion wash over her. The adrenaline was wearing off, leaving her feeling vulnerable.

“Are you okay?” Jungkook asked softly, concern etched on his face as he noticed her weariness.

“I’m just...tired,” she admitted, sinking onto the edge of the bed. “Everything feels so overwhelming right now.”

“I know,” Jungkook replied, sitting beside her. “But we’re going to get through this. Together.”

Their eyes met, and for a moment, the weight of the world faded away. In that small room, they found solace in each other’s presence, knowing they were
