Mel watches as Ruby leaves. "I'm sorry, Ky. I'll try and talk to her." She whispered. She quickly follows Ruby and finds her leaning against her car. She takes her keys out and unlocks it. Ruby opens the door herself and climbs in. Mel gets in and closes the door. "I'm not talking about it." Ruby states as she looks out the window. Mel nods. "Got it." "Can you please just drive?" "My place? Yours?" "I don't care just get me out of here." Ruby mumbles. Mel nods and pulls out of the parking lot. They drive aimlessly for a while before she pulls over. Ruby looks around. "Why are we at the Hollywood sign?" Mel shrugs. "I like to come here to think." She gets out and opens the door for her. Ruby steps out and looks around. "It's bigger than i thought it would be." She admits.
Mel takes her hand and walks over to her trunk. She opens the trunk of her Ford Explorer and puts down the back row to make room for them to sit. "You wanna talk about it?" "No." Ruby was quick to respond. Mel nods. "Ok. We don't have to talk, we can just sit here and enjoy the sight, and the peace and quiet." They both lean back and lay down. Ruby starts tearing up. "We never fight, that's the thing. Out of the ten years I've known Kylie, we've never had any major arguments. I mean we fight, what best friends don't? But nothing this big. What's changed?" "You both fell in love and got girlfriends?" Mel jokes. Ruby looks at her for a moment. Does she know? "Ruby, I'm joking. But us dating does play a huge part in it." Mel nods. "You're not breaking up with me, are you?" Ruby looks at her. "No, i am not. Are you breaking up with me?" Ruby shakes her head. "Hell no!" They both laugh.
Mel lays down as Ruby rests her head on her chest. "Seriously, though, i think you two should talk. You've been best friends for a decade." Ruby scoffs. "Please, you've known her longer than i have." Mel nods. "Maybe, but we weren't really that close. Not until she was signed with Disney and started doing music and shit." She brushes her hair with her hand. Ruby sighs. "You know, Halloween is coming up soon." Mel smiles. "Yeah, i know. I can't wait to see all the kids in their Bridget or Red or Chloe costume. You know, i heard the Red costumes sold out everywhere?" Ruby looks at her shocked. "You're kidding." Mel shakes her head. "Nope. I literally went to my local Spirit Halloween and i couldn't find it one anyone. Nor Bridget." Ruby laughs. "Damn! That's scary how fast they sold out!" Mel nods. "Yeah, i think i saw some mom's fighting for the last one." Ruby laughs. "Are you serious?" Mel nods. "Dead serious." Ruby shakes her head before she gives her cheek. She lays her head back down for a moment. "Mel?" "Yes baby?" "Thanks for taking me here." She looks up at her and smiles. Mel smiles back and kisses her forehead. "Of course baby. Anytime." It starts getting dark out so Mel drives them back. "Actually, can i stay at your place? I just, i don't think I'm ready to talk to Kylie yet." Mel nods. "Of course." Ruby looks out the window as they drive back.
Once they get to Mel's place, Ruby throws herself onto the couch. "You hungry? I could order some chinese or something?" Ruby nods. "Yeah, that'd be great." She keeps thinking back to her argument with Kylie. She feels bad for everything that went down regarding her relationship with Mel but Kylie was the one that encouraged her to kiss her the night of her birthday. None of this would have happened if it wasn't for her. Kylie has no one to blame but herself. But also, Ruby couldn't help but feel grateful. She'd never be where she is today with Mel if it wasn't for that night. "I wonder what Kylie's doing...." She whispered to herself. Mel sits down next to her. "Tell you what, how about we take a bath together? The hot water might feel good?" Ruby smiles and nods. "Uh, why don't you go and start the bath and I'll try and find a bath bomb?" "Ok. But no funny business." Ruby warns. Mel rolls her eyes. "That's the last thing on my mind right now. Trust me." Ruby kisses her cheek and heads upstairs. Mel waits till she closes the door and grabs Ruby's phone. She scrolls through her contacts and hits call. "Pick up, pick up." "Hey Rube!" "Hey, it's Mel actually. Uh, I think Ruby might need you, she's kinda going through something right now...."

"I can't believe her. She-" "Kylie!" Malia shouts. "Look, I'm sorry to interrupt but this is ridiculous. What are you two even arguing about? The fact that she's dating your manager? Or that she hid it? Or that Mel supposedly used her? What are you even upset about?! They seem to be doing fine when they left together earlier. Ruby's not heartbroken. Mel is gonna treat her right, why are you upset?" "I'm upset cause she can freely love whoever she wants!" Kylie shouts. "There i said it!" Malia nods. "So instead of being happy for her and Mel, you shout at Mel and slut shamed your manager? Great." Malia stands and goes to the other room. Kylie sighs.
