It was a school day and Miley and Lilly and Oliver were all sitting together at lunch. She was watching guys at the next table shoot food into each other's mouths while one had pasta sauce on his lips. And she couldn't believe that someone like Justin Timberlake was the same gender as some of the boys like this that were such pigs. But Lilly wasn't really helping her point she had a big chunk of pasta coming out of her mouth and had pasta sauce all over her face. Lilly? What? She asked Miley. First of all you gotta close your mouth she shut her mouth as Lilly chewed her food. And then she told her that now that they were in high school she had to start acting like um oh IDK a girl! As Miley put it with a disappointed look on her face.
But not all girls are girly girls like Miley is Lilly is a tomboy though I'm finding in today's standards people would probably think anyone that calls themselves a tomboy now they would think was lesbian as to what I've seen and heard. Since people have come out as lesbian I haven't heard the term tomboy in a hot sec. Then again lately I've been told people haven't really been into labels much these days. What are you talking about I act like a girl all the time? Lilly asked her though she was talking with her mouth full. And then she was tossed a piece of food from the boys table followed by an incoming and then shooting it at the guys mouth for him to catch proving Miley's point even more. Amber and Ashely came over were teasing her about not acting like a girl and it was probably the only thing they and Miley agreed with.
I never thought this day would come Miley started but Amber and Ashely are right. She said with a frown on her face as they went over to the boy table. And Miley hated Lilly for making her say that as she got all up in her face. Lilly was understandably offended said she did too know how to act like a girl. Oh yeah? Then how come you don't have a date for the dance on Friday? She asked her. Just because Lilly didn't act girly didn't mean she couldn't get a date for the dance if she even wanted to go. TV shows put to much pressure on people to always be dating and making people feel like they're not good enough only for the characters to learn the lesson they should've known all along and that's that it was better to be themselves and not to change for anyone. Not everyone is going to the dance she gestured to Miley. Farrah's not old enough but we also have a Hannah Sabrina concert she whispered back at her and she knew I wouldn't wanna go anyways.
Yeah like Farrah she's not a girly girl like you she would rather play video games or go skateboarding or surfing then to the dance unless Lukas or Jake asked her to go. Like at the 70s dance last year when we were fighting over Jake back when he asked you and you said no until you decided you liked him and got jealous when he asked me. Things got worse when Sarah showed up asked them if they knew who was going with this guy Gabe to the dance on Friday and they were excited cause to them he was hot and had a great swimmers body and when they asked who she said her. How they had been lab partners and one thing led to another and the next thing you know well then she asked them who they were going with Miley said she wasn't going she had another thing to go to. Lilly lied and said she had a thing too not the same thing. Though she could'v'e she could've been backstage at the Hannah concert as Lola. But Sarah felt that they didn't have dates and felt bad for them saying there were always other dances.
When Sarah left Lilly decided maybe Miley was right if Sarah even had a date to the dance on Friday night. Lilly sat back down to keep eating her pasta and Miley said she knew there was a 9th grade girl in there somewhere and wasn't gonna let her give up. This was kind of reminding me of the time that Sam asked Carly to make her girly after they had her birthday party and they just thought of her as one of the guys and she wanted to go on a date with this guy she liked and asked Carly to make her more like her so Carly trained her to be girly but when they got in trouble and a bully was bullying Carly she gave Sam permission to go back to being herself and get swinging with her butter sock and then shoved food down her shirt to eat for later. Miley said they just had to bring the girl side of Lilly out. She took Lilly's hat off her head and made her sit up straight because she didn't want Lilly sitting like a guy and wanted her to stop with the pasta. Lilly didn't think it did any good but Miley thought she saw one of the cute boys come towards them.
