Later that night, after we'd all been picked up by our (very angry) parents, did I finally get to go home. I go to my room after a long lecture during the car ride with my dad. I am about to lay down on my bed when Cassia appears at my doorway.

"You smell like fish!" Is all she says before she disappears again. She's right though, I do indeed smell bad. I walk into the bathroom, which is also connected to my room. It's not exactly big and is kind of shaped like a trapezoid. It has cream walls and a window that faces out into the backyard, where I can see the canals and our little gangway. I have a sink with all of me and Cassia's hair products, makeup, and toothbrushes sitting on it. I look in the mirror and sigh as I realize that my hair's a complete mess. I walk over to the bathtub which is right across from my sink. I put the plug in the drain and turned on the tub. Boiling hot, just the way I like it. I turn around and take off my clothes before tackling my knotted hair. I eventually climbed into the bath. As soon as I do, those same sparkles that were in the pool of water in the volcano appear around my body. Within seconds, I look down and... I don't even know what to think! What just happened?! I look like a fish! My legs have turned into a fishtail! I AM FREAKING OUT!! WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON?! I tried the breathing exercise Naia had us do when we were in the volcano pool after we freaked out from the bubbles. I eventually calmed down enough to survey how I look now. My... tail, I guess it's called, is a light teal blue color, more of a celeste blue, the same color as my bedroom walls. It has side fins that protrude out about three or four inches. I reach my hand down to feel it. It has a slimy kind of feel, like fish do, it's smooth one way and rough the other because of the scales. As I'm feeling it, I notice the silver armlets on my biceps. They look like a plain flattened piece of metal that was molded into a circle to go around your arm. I feel around my neck, face, and hair to see if anything else has changed. I always take off any jewelry and accessories before I bathe. I found a necklace and earrings on me. I grab the hand-held mirror by the bathtub and hold it up. The necklace is also silver and shaped like a water droplet. It has a gemstone embedded on it that matches the earrings I'm wearing, which are both the same color as my tail.

"Ok Sereia, no need to freak out. Not like something unbelievable just happened." I say to myself.

"Are you talking to yourself? God, you're such a loser. Get out now or I'm going to tell dad you're hogging the bathroom!" Cassia yells from the other side of the door. God, she is so annoying! As soon as she says that though, I realize just one thing: I have no idea how I'm going to get out. I can't exactly climb out like usual.

After a bit of struggling, I manage to use all my strength and tumble out of the bathtub. I land on the ground with a thud, rattling the room and knocking into the sink, causing some of the stuff on it to fall off. Now onto problem number two: how do I get rid of this tail? Surely I'm not stuck like this... right? I need to think logically. I transformed into this fish form thing when I got into the tub, so maybe it's the water. I don't have any other choice, so I reach up and grab the hairdryer on the sink and turn it on. I use it to dry myself off. When I'm fully dry, something weird happens. Those same sparkles appear again, in the same place they were before. A few seconds later (30 seconds to be exact just in case I'll need to know this later), the sparkles disappear, and my legs reappear. I'm also completely dry, even my hair, which I hadn't dried before, but it does look clean from me washing it. I don't have time to dwell on this, so I run for my phone on its charger and quickly text the girls.
