Endearing.

More then a title.

It resulted that it wouldn't be a fast process, we had to find our Grigori friend who is our lawyer, to make this a closed adoption. I didn't want any relatives to have connections to children. I knew that I was being selfish but I think it was safer for us, as grigori we had to be careful. Today we were finally going to take the children to our home. "Lincoln why didn't you tell me when you took me there." I said, after that day he told me that he knew the story of those two little children. They were grigori kids half siblings the little girl her nickname was nena her mom died just 2 days after she was born, her mom and dad hadn't yet name her , but the dad register her as Rubi, but she was always been known as nena. The baby, he and the girl were half sibilings, apparently the mom found some one new and later had a baby, but the mom died during birth. I felt like all this has been a plan, an act from above. "Because I wanted you to feel right with one of them, I didn't want you to get them just because they are grigori children." He said. I nodded, sometimes I felt guilt, Lincoln had always cared for me, I hated that I once hated him. I hated all choices that I made. His hand reached for mine. "Its ok." He said , he felt my guilt . It was part our bond it was like a door he or I could close it or open it when ever we want it, we always had it open permitting us to feel each others emotions. But even though we had it open he or I had the option to respect each others feelings and just block the feelings, and right know he was but I guess I slip to much of my feelings into him. "I know." I told him. We finally got there the nun received us. "Good afternoon Mrs. And Mr. Wood." She said "Good afternoon." I responded . We went inside and went into the office. "OK well I just need you two to sign these papers that are left to sign, remember you both are know guardians of these two kids, you both are on federal watch, and you well be able to leave the country in six months." She said. "And you both don't want to change their names?" She asked, It had been something Lincoln and I had talked about for like the past three days. "Yes we are, our lawyer is working on it." I said. Not only had we choosen to change their names but we are going to change their birth certificates as us to be legal parents. It hasn't been an easy adoption. We still had to go to court and do all these stuff, to asure the adoption. "Well I believe you have everything ready. Let me go get them." she said, she looked sad, it must be hard to let go of this little angels. I saw the other nuns and kids get together and hug nena and kissing the baby all of them saying their good byes. I turned around to give them some privacy. Lincoln hugged me, and I just let my self melt down as I always do when im in his arms. "Are you ready to be a mom of two" He said "Was I ever ready to be a mom?" I said "You were, you are." He said. Finally the nun came in with the baby and the little girl. I smiled at them "Hello again." Lincoln said bending down to be the same height as the little girl, the little girl had green eyes same as Lincolns I guess the mom or dad had green eyes the little boy had hazel eyes, which I kept saying how ironic it was that I have hazel eyes. I know it was you. I thought while looking up. "Hello" said the little girl. I also bend down, I tucked my hair behind my ear. "Are you ready to go to a new home." I said "Is it true you my mommy" She said I smiled "Yes I'm your mom from now on." I said "And he is your dad." I added while I pointed at Lincoln . The little girl looked up too the nun, "See I told you my mom was coming for me, the angel told me." The little girl said. Right then Lincoln and I looked at each other. Should I even be suprised. We stood up the nun smiled she was holding her cross. "Lincoln you should go and get the babys car seat." I said he nodded and went to get it. "Here is your son." The nun said she gave him a kiss and handed him over to me. I carried him, he was so innocent and small. I put him on my chest, he was asleep. I sat down in a chair. His sister came right by my side "Are you his mom too?" She said "Yes I'm his mom too." I said "Mommy, well I have toys?" She said, I was kind of shocked she just called me mom, for a lot of people it was just a title but for mothers it was more than a title. I smiled "Yes, you and your brother well have a lot of toys." I said Lincoln came back inside with the baby's car seat. I put the baby in side and locked him up. I covered him up real good it was the beginning of March but it was still cold I saw Lincoln had a coat and scarf, we bought it for the girl. "Hope you like it." I said while Lincoln was putting her coat and scarf on. "I do." She said so excited with a smile. "Are you ready to go home?" I said. "Yes, Yes I am." She said, "well let's go going."
I hugged the nun and thank her for everything, she hugged the girl and gave her a blessing as well as the baby. "May God bless you and your new family." She told Lincoln and I. We smiled and nodded, Lincoln lifted the baby and I grabbed the little girl's hand and we made our way outside. I opened the door and lifted the girl and got her on her car seat and Lincoln put in the baby's seat. We were all finally in our places in a car like a family. I let out a sigh. "Are you ready?" I said "I've been ready. " Lincoln said and drove away.

Home, we were finally home and it felt right, the little girl walked in and looked at my wall, "Wow." She said amazed "Your mom painted it." Said Lincoln "She also painted your room." He added "Half painted." I said
"Here sit down I want to ask you something?" I said to the girl. She sat down. "I know you have been called nena for a long time but wouldn't you like an actual name?" I said, she tilted her head and shrugged "I promise you'll like this name." Lincoln said
"What would it be?" She said
"Adeline Wood." Lincoln said "I lowe it." She said clapping her hands we smiled "Also I know your brother had his name too buy what do you think of the name Gabriel?" I said, she made a face like she was thinking "I lowe it too, but isn't he going have another name like me?" She added "Well Wood is your last name he is going to have it too. " I said "Gabriel Wood." Lincoln added. "Ohh." She said and smiled I stood up "We don't have your room finished but you would be sleeping with your brother while I finish painting your room." I said, Lincoln and I have been working on the warehouse, as a warehouse well it didn't have much rooms so what Lincoln did was make a second floor I don't know how he made it possible but he did. There was work to still be done but it was almost finished. For know my kids room would be in the spare room. I didn't know what my baby was going to be but I had decorated the room with silhouettes of animals. "Dad? Can I call you dad?" Adeline asked Lincoln looked down on her and smiled I felt him and he felt excited and happy. "YES you can, my little princess." He said "Am I really a little princess? " She asked "Yes you are. You well have everything you wish for." He said , and right then I imagined Lincoln spioling her. I took the baby out of the car seat he was sound asleep. "Guys follow me." I said and so they did "Im going to show you your room Adeline." I said we went into the room and I placed the baby inside the crib. "I dont know whats your favorite color so your bed has diffrent colors." I said worrying she wont like it. "Its so prretty." She said and I smiled she went and layed down she let a sigh out "its confy." She said. Lincoln and I both laughed I went to sit on a chair near by and realized I was the happiest person ever.
