"Okay. So I have a crazy idea."
Tee walks into the bedroom carrying two cups of coffee, wearing only Holly's oversized football t-shirt. Holly sits up in the bed, licking her lips, over the sight of Tee in her t-shirt and the sight of coffee. One of the Holly's hands sneaks under the back of the t-shirt, quickly grabbing a squeeze of Tee's butt. The other hand reaching for the coffee, whilst puckering her lips, hoping the coffee delivery came with a kiss. Tee leant forward so naturally, joining lips for the kiss.
"Oh goodness. Should I be worried?"
Ever so carefully, coffee in hand, Tee climbed over Holly rather than walking to the other side of the bed. Cuddling up nice and close, legs draped over Holly's, Tee shared her idea.
"I've been invited to a race day next weekend, and I want you to come."
Holly was surprised by the admission. They both were yet to tell many people. Holly only telling one of her best friends and Tee confining to her sister, who was also in a same sex relationship. But they hadn't discussed becoming much more public. And with Tee having left the work place over a month ago now and Holly just announcing her resignation, the timing was aligning.
"Oh really. Where has this sprung from?"
Holly turned her head to face Tee. Tee's head resting on Holly's shoulder as her coffee cup met her lips.
"I think I'm ready. This, right here, is making me happy right now. When people ask how I've been when I see them, I want to tell them I've been great. And I want to show them why I've been great."
Tee looked up to Holly, with a sparkle and watery eye. Tears threatening to spill.
"But if you don't want to, I will understand. This is about the two of us. Not just me."
Holly placed a hand under Tee's chin, with a slight grip. Her eyes moving from Tee's to her lips. Holly leaned in with a response.
"I would freaking love that."
The women's lips met. Once. Twice. Three times.
"I can already see the squirming faces of the some of the men who thought they might have been in with a chance when you first announced you were getting divorced. All of a sudden, some of them were so charming around you."
Tee laughed out loud at Holly's observation. Tee very much cared for her reputation and was worried a divorce would make her look like she failed. She might have failed at the happy marriage dream, but she was never going to let that her work ethic suffer and fail also.
"Oh. I know it's a race day and all, but I don't think I want to wear a dress. Do you think I'll have to?"
Holly looked to Tee with a concerned look on her face. Tee smirked a reassurance. Grabbing both coffee cups and placing them on the bedside table, Tee straddled to sit on top of Holly.
"You don't have to wear a dress baby. In fact, I want to buy you something. Something that will make us match."
Tee placed her hands through Holly's hair, a slight grip assuring some dominance. Whispering in a seductive tune.
"How do you feel about a suit? Something black?"
Holly raised her eyebrows with curiosity.
"My god. It will be hard to keep my hands to myself for the day with you in a suit. You are going to look so. damn. sexy!"
Tee deepened her kiss and rocked her hips into Holly's. Their first public coming out, and in front of ex colleagues, they were going to look their best.
