Korvin reflects somberly: "Once, the pure believed that sin could halt space and time; now, it is their turn to do so."

The atmosphere is tense, almost apocalyptic. Adelaire, ever the steadfast companion, accompanies Davo as they fly back to his hometown.

Korvin continues: "A heart that was once crimson now turns black."

Davo has maintained frequent communication with his mother despite the distance, always reassured by her updates that she was well.

Upon arriving at the hospital, their worst fears are realized.

Korvin's voice echoes with a heavy tone: "The heart is no longer merely black; it is shattered."

The funeral proceeds swiftly. Beforehand, the doctor revealed that Davo's mother had been exhausted and had an undiagnosed heart condition that suddenly worsened.

Korvin's somber reflection: "It feels as though nature itself adds to the devastation."

The funeral is held in the rain, with everyone dressed in black and holding umbrellas.

Davo throws his umbrella aside and rushes to his mother's grave, crying out: "Mom! Don't leave me! Forgive me, Mom! I'm not worthy to be with you in heaven!"

People converge to comfort him, with Adelaire pulling him into an embrace and gently guiding him away.

As the crowd gradually disperses, Davo's tears begin to subside, and he notices a woman standing nearby.

It's Laura Turner, the neighbor who had gone to the city and has just returned. Davo had been fond of Laura since childhood.

Korvin observes: "He slowly begins to heal his heart, planting flowers that had long been lost. Will a new love begins to blossom once more?"
