The silence was overwhelmingly loud, no one spoke a word, no one dared to move a muscle.
The pressure in the air was only getting heavier with each passing second.
A long beat went by before-
*CLAP*
Everyone's attention snapped back to the blood hero, who had just calmly clapped his hands to break the silence.
"Anyhow, I've said my piece." And just like that, the pressure vanished.
Many different reactions followed his pledge.
A masked man watched the broadcast from atop a rooftop, grinning widely as he sharpened his blade.
A black haired man with grafted skin scoffed at the public monitor.
A bead of sweat rolled down a dirty-blonde woman's forehead as she watched the program from her desk.
A blonde girl eyed the monitor warily before grinning crazily and skipping down the alleyway she was in while twirling a knife.
Deep within a dark room, a heavily-scarred man in a suit smirked and rested his chin on his fist.
All Might kept up his grin while scratching his cheek awkwardly.
Endeavor tensed, but scoffed to hide it.
Hawks got unusually quiet, but put up an aloof smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.
Best Jeanist was as calm as always, though he was murmuring something about 'recklessness' while combing his hair.
Miruko had a huge blush on her face, she bit her fist while thumping her foot. 'Fuck, that was hot...'
Edgeshot was overall unfazed, he and Oath worked closely enough to foresee this coming.
Crust was letting the waterworks fly, crying about how moved he was by his peer's dedication and audacity.
Ryukyu was keeping a calm face, though there was a small tint of red on her cheeks, cursing under her breath. 'Stupid draconian instincts...'
Gang Orca remained stoic, though he was still a bit perturbed by the killer intent that oozed off of Oath for a moment, t'was the qualms of having animalistic instincts, though at least he and Oath were acquainted enough for him to not immediately flee in fear.
Everyone was once again snapped out of their stupor when Oath turned to Hawks and handed him the mic casually, like he hadn't just publicly declared war on Japanese corruption. "Here you go, sorry for the holdup."
Hawks looked at the microphone being held towards him for a second before clearing his throat and regaining his carefree attitude. "No worries, dude, cool speech." He quickly took the mic from the older man.
The birdman then flew up and started saying his part, the event slowly going back to normal.
Oath didn't really pay attention to what he was saying, he was too busy hiding a smirk behind his hand.
He hadn't made such a ballsy claim for shits and giggles, he had been suspicious of a few people within this room, and the best way to catch a liar is to pretend you already know what they did.
'Enji Todoroki, it's a wonder you've made it this far.' He stashed away Endeavor's reaction into his mental cabinet, soon they'll get those kids out of there, and that poor woman free.
Not to mention... oh sweet, sweet Keigo Takami~
Hawks is good at hiding his emotions, but Oath's better at reading people.
