Danni felt a sense of joy wash over her as she entered the music club's practice room. The familiar sound of guitars and pianos filled the air, creating an inviting atmosphere that resonated with her love for music. She quickly joined her friends, strumming her guitar while others played along on keyboards and percussion instruments.

Yet, amidst the camaraderie and laughter, there was one thing that dampened Danni's spirits—a boy named Li Wei. He had taken a keen interest in her since she joined the club, always hovering nearby and attempting to engage her in conversation. Danni found his attention overwhelming and often felt uncomfortable by his persistence.

After a particularly lively session, Danni vented her frustrations to her roommates, Ye ShuQi, Zhu Zhu, and Chen Nanxi, who were sitting in their dorm room.

"I really enjoy the music club," Danni sighed, plucking at her guitar absentmindedly. "But Li Wei just won't leave me alone! It's so annoying. I just want to play music and have fun."

Ye ShuQi chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. "Maybe he just likes your music! But I get it, it can be a headache."

Zhu Zhu nodded in agreement. "You should just be honest with him. If he keeps bothering you, tell him you need space."

"Yeah, I might have to do that," Danni replied, a hint of frustration creeping into her voice. "But I don't want to hurt his feelings. I just want to enjoy my time there."

Nanxi chimed in, "Just focus on your music. If he doesn't get the hint, you'll have to be a bit more direct. You're too nice sometimes!"

Danni smiled, grateful for her friends' support. "Thanks, guys. I just want to keep it fun, you know?"

The next afternoon, after a long lecture on business strategies, Danni was making her way to her next class when she suddenly spotted Li Wei ahead of her. He stepped into her path, blocking her way with an eager smile.

"Hey, Danni! Fancy seeing you here," he said, his tone overly cheerful.

Danni's heart sank. She glanced around, hoping for an escape route, but the hallway was crowded with students moving to and fro. "Uh, hey, Li Wei," she replied, forcing a smile.

"Are you heading to class? I was wondering if you wanted to practice some songs together later," he said, clearly oblivious to her discomfort.

Danni shifted her weight from one foot to the other, searching for the right words. "Um, I actually have plans after class today. Maybe another time?"

Li Wei's expression faltered slightly, but he quickly recovered. "Oh, come on! Just a quick jam session? I promise it'll be fun!"

Danni felt a wave of frustration wash over her. She really didn't want to engage with him right now. "I really can't, Li Wei. I have to go," she said, trying to sidestep him.

"Wait, Danni! Just give me a chance! I know we'd have a great time," he persisted, stepping closer.

Danni felt her patience thin. "I said no, Li Wei! I'm not interested, okay?" The words escaped her mouth before she could second-guess herself.

Li Wei's smile faded, replaced by a look of confusion. "Oh... I didn't mean to—"

Danni cut him off, her tone softening a bit. "I just want to focus on my music without distractions. I hope you understand."

Before he could respond, Danni squeezed past him and hurried down the hallway, her heart pounding. She felt a mix of relief and guilt for being so blunt, but she also knew she needed to set boundaries.
