i pulled up to a'ja house and i saw her door open which means she's letting the dogs run around outside and get some fresh air.
my phone vibrated in my lap making me look down quickly and back up. i saw her dog run in front of my car making me slam on the breaks but i didn't stop fast enough.
"oh sh**" i yelled as i slammed on the breaks. i heard a loud noise against my bumper making me exhale.
i got out and saw aja's dog covered in blood. and he wasn't breathing so there's that.
"d***" i whispered rubbing my forehead. now i gotta tell a'ja i hit her dog lord have mercy.
(a/n guys i don't know the name of her real dogs so we just finna make them up i tried looking for the names and could not find it 😭).
i turned off my car and shut the door walking to the door and walked in where i saw a'ja sitting on the couch watching netflix.
"hey bae" she smiled.
"hey what you watching ?" i asked sitting down beside her.
"greys anatomy" she said and i nodded.
"what ? why are you looking at me like that ?" she asked smiling. ion wanna tell her about her poor baby but i have too. she ain't gone be smiling for long.
h*ll i may not even be alive much longer. a'ja crazy asf and i've seen ts first hand.
"so i gotta talk to you about something" i said and she put her phone down and nodded for me to continue.
"so when i pulled up, i yk pulled up normal and then my phone went off and i looked at it for a second and looked back up" i started.
"okay ??"
"and um cash ran out in front of my car cus he was trying get his ball and i hit him" i said quickly.
"you did what ?" she asked getting up.
"i accidentally hit him with the front of my car. im sorry sorry baby. i looked down at my phone for one second and back up and i slammed on the breaks but i wasn't fast enough." i said.
i watched as slowly backed away from me as tears filled her eyes. her breathing began to get heavier.
"is he dead ?" she yelled.
"where is he ?" she yelled running out the door.
"by my car" i said following her.
"omg you killed my dog jackie. how could you do that" she yelled as tears rolled down her face.
"im sorry i tried to stop but it was too late."
"ik you never liked animals but that didn't give you a right to kill him" she yelled at me making stare at her.
ik tf this girl just did not. she act like i hit cash on purpose.
"a'ja wtf are you saying ?? i never hit him on purpose, again he ran out in front of my car and i tried to stop"
"if you weren't on your phone you would've saw him" she yelled through tears.
"i looked down at my phone for 1 second baby. 1 second. im sorry okay it was an accident and ik how much you love your dogs but ian hit him on purpose mama and yk ts" i said.
"i can't believe you" she said angrily walking into her house. i followed behind her and she walked to the kitchen and grabbed her phone.
"hey can you come get cash. no he died and i don't wanna have to just throw his body in the woods or sum"
"okay thank you" she said and hung up.
10 minutes later chelsea came with a shovel.
"d*** wth happened ??" chels asked.
"jackie killed him. she hit him with her car" a'ja said making me shake my head in disbelief.
"it was an accident okay i didn't mean to hit him" i said and chels nodded.
"where you going ?" i asked pulling her back by her waist.
"too bury my d*** dog that YOU killed" she said angrily pushing my hands off her waist.
"baby i said i was sorry" i said as she walked out the door.
"omfg" i said to myself as i rubbed my forehead and sighed. yes ik a'ja would be upset but ian think she would actually think i would hit him on purpose.

"so a'ja how's coco ??" ac asked.
"she's good ! not used to playing alone but i play with her as much as i can" i said smiling.
"aww i bet she misses cash. we all miss him" tip said.
"especially his little hugs they were the cutest" syd said which surprised me. she always joked that my dogs were gonna die but she has yet to make a joke out of it.
"yeah i miss him too my little cuddle buddy." i said with a weak smile.
"jack you okay ??" kb asked.
"life is a little rough but yk im healthy and alive so cant complain too much" she said.
"well we know you didn't mean to hit him" queen said.
"yeah believe ts if you want to" i said laughing.
"tf is wrong with you ?? you out of all people know how yo dogs grew on me. i spent a lot of time walking them, feeding them, playing with, cuddling with them" jack said.
"ian kill yo d*** dog on purpose a'ja" she said raising her voice.
"wtv should've been paying attention" i said.
"okay fine i shouldn't have looked at my phone for .1 second im f*cking sorry baby what else do you want me to do ??" jackie said.
"i can't fix it and if i could yk i would. ts is eating alive cus ik how much you love your dogs and i loved cash too" she said.
"okay guys it was an accident. you have a right to be upset cus your dogs are your life and that's okay" kp said to a'ja.
"you guys wanna go get pizza tonight ?? or come to my house and order one ?" syd asked.
"yeah let's go to your house it's cold outside and i wanna be up under some heat" queen said.
"okay well you guys come when yall done showering" she said.
"a'ja you coming ?" kiah asked.
"no but thanks" i said.
i grabbed my stuff and said bye to the team before heading to my car.
"mama im sorry" jackie said stopping in front of me.
"it's fine jackie" i sighed.
"a'ja ts is effecting our relationship. like yes i understand why you feel the way you do but yk i would never hurt him on purpose" she said.
"okay then lemme grieve. im good i just don't wanna be bothered" i said.
"baby you're being stubborn asf." she said holding my waists.
"no stop jackie i don't want you to hold me. i just wanna be alone" i said trying to get out of her grip.
"stop baby lemme hold you" she hugging me tightly. i exhaled and rested my head on her shoulder.
"okay i need to go home and shower cus i have some cleaning to finish" i said.
"okay i love you" she said kissing my cheek.
"i love you too" i said walking to my car.
definitely have mixed emotions about this relationship. my dogs mean the world to me and maybe i am overreacting but the attachment that i have to them is the reason why.
