the next day, the school was buzzing with excitement. everyone was still on a high from the works of the school festival, nothing had gone back to normal yet. and with it nearing the end of the year, you doubted it would die down anytime soon. even more, your classmates could not stop talking about your promise ring.
you giggled to yourself. "guys, it's just a promise ring!"
"it's not just a promise ring!" ochaco exclaimed.
tsuyu nodded. "she's right, y/n. you guys are getting pretty serious."
'if only they knew.' you thought to yourself.
but the girls were right. your relationship with izuku midoriya only continued to grow and solidify itself everyday. after all, it wasn't often that someone went through the things you went through and still managed to come out on top.
you looked back at izuku who also had a group of people surrounding his table. you could see him smiling which caused you to smile unconsciously. ochaco and tsuyu took notice of this, leading them to chuckle, which brought you back to their attention. you shrugged shyly, as you all bursted into laughter.
